Christian Bale (born January 30, 1974) is a popular British born actor of Welsh background, who has recently been filling movie theaters as Batman in "The Dark Knight", alongside Heath Ledger as The Joker.
Bale made his professional debut on the London West End stage, and then auditioned with 4000 other juveniles for the coveted role of James Graham in Steven Spielberg's "Empire of the Sun" in 1987. Bale received a special citation for Best Performance by a Juvenile Actor from the National Board of Review - an award specially created for his performance in "Empire".
In the succeeding years, Bale has appeared in Shakespeare, dramas and comedies demonstrating a versatility, depth and range that has made him one of the best reviewed actors, as well as one of the most popular actors on the Internet.

- Nice lens, for some reason though I just don't like the guy! I've seen American Psycho about three times now... and every time I see the film I grow to dislike him even more. I really don't rate that film, and his presence somehow makes me warm to the film even less. As I say though; brilliant lens, and I look forward to him possibly changing my mind with the new Batman film!
