Scott Pitman is the Christian Car Dealer and your friend in the business...

People love cars, they just don't love the car business or the process of purchasing a new or used vehicle. I created this lens to interact with people who could use a friend on the inside; a Christian Car Dealer. I hope to include valuable information, tips and an open Question and Answer format.

Car dealers tend to be at the bottom of most totem poles; oftentimes rightfully so!! Some car dealers have been known to not tell you the whole truth in their attempts to sell a car. That is why I wrote this ebook to show you how to see through the "smoke and mirrors."

Scott, Do you have a dealer in Orlando that you would recommend? We are black and blue from 3 weeks of new car shopping. I've been trying to find a Christian car dealer list online, but my husband said that was an oxymoron. I'm going to download your book. Thanks for being a true Christian car dealer. Wish we still lived in Wichita!

Yes, we sell used cars, trucks, vans and SUV's in Kansas. But if you are not a Jayhawk, Wildcat or Shocker, we can still help you. We can usually deliver your vehicle (for FREE) anywhere in a 5 state area, but have been known to make our way as far as the Dakota's and Mississippi (I was born in Biloxi). We have New Suzuki's buyers call from everywhere in the country because of our volume pricing as one of the top 10 Suzuki dealers in the USA. Thanks for asking. Give us a ring...

People are always asking me about what price range of vehicle they need to consider to get a decent car. While there is no hard and fast rule to this question, I believe that the best, cheapest, good deal used cars in the market start at around $5000 bucks. You may be able to find the once in a lifetime $3000 gem, but my money is on the $5000 car. My second opinion on this is that for every extra $1000 you spend above $5000, you get a lot more car for your money until you get to around $10,000 and then you get bells and whistles. Agree or disagree, that's my two cents. PS: While I love my Suzuki's, I would also put these at the top of my "used car with great gas mileage and low maintenance shopping list: Used Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, and Saturn.

Most car salespeople are paid a percentage of the profit the dealer makes on the car. I disagree with this pay method because it turn salespeople into high pressure talk you into something you don't want bad guys (I like to call it the sins of commission). I pay my salespeople a salary plus incentives based on volume with NO TIE to profit. This allows my team to find you the best vehcile for you family regardless of profit margin. So Relax and see the difference a non-commissioned salesperson can make (You can even pick you own non-commissioned salesperson online at www.RideHomeHappy.com). Dusty, After 16 years together you think you might have learned this one by now...

What do you mean that your sales people are non-commisioned? How are they paid then?

MARKETPLACE EVANGELISM

IS THE MARKETPLACE THE HOME OF THE NEXT GREAT HARVEST?

No one is better placed in the city than Christians who operate in the marketplace. God has already given them jurisdiction in businesses, schools and government circles. The promise that "every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you" (Josh. 1:3)

Jesus begin His life as a businessman (a carpenter), but also virtually all of the men He called to be His disciples were in businesses of one sort or another (fishing, collecting taxes, farming and so on). With the exception of Paul, none were priests, Levites or Pharisees-and even Paul ran a tent-making business in conjunction with his ministry.
But that is part of the point: In God's economy there is really no distinction between ministry and business. They are part and parcel of the same thing. You could say that business is the ministry of heaven, as much as the business of heaven is ministry. Unfortunately, too many people make a distinction between their work and their service to God. Not only has this led to the phenomenon of the "Sunday Christian," where a person attends church on Sunday and basically lives like the devil for the rest of the week, but it has also caused even sincere believers to distinguish what they do on the job (work) from what they do on Sunday (worship).

The book of Acts unfolds the story of believers who did more than tell people about Jesus in the marketplace. They also witnessed a steady stream of signs and wonders. In fact, only one of the 22 extraordinary manifestations of God's power recorded in Acts happened in a religious venue: the healing of the lame man at the temple gate called Beautiful (see Acts 3:1-11). Most of these spiritual wonders were facilitated by people such as Paul, Priscilla and Aquila, who as ministry and business partners, are classic examples of marketplace Christians (see Acts 18:1-3).

Dear Daddy,

I hope you have a great day tomorrow selling cars like nobody's business and have fun. I will pray for you in our morning devotions. I will try to jump up and give you a big bear hug when you come home because I will always be your little girl.

Love Kayley.
