The Secret For Christians
The Secret For Christians- With the hit DVD The Secret being the buzz of the day many people who have seen it and not seen it have asked if they are Christians can they still apply the law of attraction into their lives and can they watch the movie.
This lens will give you my Christian Perspective on living the Secret and applying the law of attraction into your life while keeping Jesus as the center of you life and belief.
Jesus is the one who taught THE SECRET during his ministry on the earth. The apostles make many statements throughout the New Testament in regards to what the The Secret talks about in the book and the movie.
How Do I As A Christian Live The Law Of Attraction And The Secret?
Ask And Ye Shall Receive
God Says He Wants You To Have All That You Desire
In Matthew Chapter 7:7,8 we read:
"Ask, and it shall be given you, seek, and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you;
For every one that asketh receiveth, and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
If you read on further in Matthew in the same chapter he goes on to say in verse 11:
"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good thing to them that ask him."
The Bible Teaches That Man Is That He Might Have Joy!
Jesus taught us that we are all GOD's Children!
And if we are all God's Children than as a Father don't you think GOD wants us to have the best and that life has to offer?God is not a God of lack, he is a God of abundance.
The DVD The Secret talks in terms of the universe so it has scared some Christians with thinking this is not a Christian idea. However, the producers of the movie talk in terms of the universe to appeal to all religions and people of every nation. When you believe in God then you just substitute the word 'universe' with 'God'. Semantics.
Most of the teachers on the secret do believe in God and some of them are Christians. Now each teacher has their own definition of what and who GOD is; however they all know very well, there is something much larger than us that is at the center of the universe producing and implementing the laws of the universe.

God created the universe so why do some people think the universe is such a bad thing? Gets me!
Your Faith Will Make You Whole
Faith and Healing
In The Secret you see and hear the great story of the Miracle Man, Morris Goodman. He is a very devout Christian man and if you read about his life you will see that the good work he does is mostly in Churches. A man of this strong faith is not going to take part in a movie that he goes against his faith!His wife, Cathy Goodman also tells her story in the movie about how she overcame breast cancer through her faith in healing. She would say every day all day long, "Thank you for my healing."
These great stories of modern day healing miracles are based on faith.
In Matthew Chapter 9 verses 18-22 we read about a women who had an 'issue of blood' that had plagued her for years. She said to herself that all she had to was just touch Jesus' clothes and she would be made whole again, she would be healed.
Jesus turns around as she touches him and says to her,
"Daughter, be of good comfort; THY FAITH hath made thee whole."
Now notice Jesus does not say, "I made you whole" he says HER FAITH has made her whole.
That is what Morris talks about in the movie The Secret; how his faith made him whole.

Katerina, Great lens! As a Christian, I have always had the same view as you-that the Secret was actually just the teachings of Christ. I have been surprised by some Christians that thought The Secret was contrary to their religious beliefs. Your references above are spot on! It really it The Secret taken from the pages of The Bible. Thanks for sharing the good news.

Hello to all. I'd like to share my view of the secret. I am a Christian, and my father is a Pastor. For the 1st time in my life I am actually understand what I've been taught through my father and church teachings. Unfortunately & fortunately it wasn't until I read, heard & seen the Secret that I understood God on another level. This may seem strange but true. I found myself frustrated frequently with all my Christian friends quoting "you have not because you ask not", "let go, let God", "Jesus is the answer". Yes those are only partial to the message. Yes Jesus is the answer, but to what question?. Yes Let go & let God, but how?, You have not because you ask not, What am I asking for. I love Jesus, I hate religion. It keeps you stuck in such a narrow mind frame. We all have discernment. After reading the secret, I went back through the bible and had a greater understanding. God is love. If you don't know how to love you won't understand the love of God, nor yourself or anyone else.

When I hear about "The Secret" I don't dismiss it but I think its just another "Thing" calling itself a new thing when its all already been said by Christ in the bible. Like many things people think they came up with it is really what God has said all along. :)

Nice lense Katerina! Paula, it's not that Christians reject the Secret, we reject the messenger of it. While the principles can be supported biblically, Jesus is not a genie. He came to save us from our sins, to die in our place. The Secret is about seeking His HAND and satisfying the flesh... Posted August 17, 2007 |
