Christmas Desserts Recipes
During the holidays one of the best memories of my children was the wonderful aromas from the kitchen. Christmas cookies, cakes, and pies are a very huge part of the holiday celebration. Sweet potato pie is just one of the wonderful pies made in our home at Christmas.
It is so delicious served with a generous portion of sweet creamy whipped cream. In fact the family says it cannot be Christmas without this wonderful southern pie. Typically many of these are made around Christmas time. Then on Christmas Eve and Christmas our family sends a pie home with each family group to enjoy on their arrival home. Generous slices of this wonderful pie is cut and wrapped along with a healthy portion of Christmas dinner to be delivered to neighbor shut ins to enjoy.
Another tradition is providing a pie or two to a local agency where the employees must work during the holiday. That may be a hospital or police department. These wonderful Christmas dessert recipes are made and enjoyed by many.
