Growing up, our family tradition was not to overdo on Christmas presents, but go all out on family fun, togetherness and remembering why we celebrate this day. Our Christmas gift exchange was limited to $25.00 a piece. That is what my parents spent on me and that is what we spent on them. It was very freeing, limiting the gifts to $25.00. I don't remember feeling deprived at all. I loved the lights, I would play for hours under the Christmas tree arranging and re-arranging the nativity scene. I loved all the Christmas programs, the Christmas Carols and the special Christmas activities.

Who doesn't love a T-shirt? Men love them, women work out in them, kids live in them. T-shirts with your college name on them are fun. Pro sports teams are very popular with a lot of people also. If your person isn't sporty, how about a T-shirt with an inspiring or funny quote. If they are a TV or movie buff. what about an NCIS T-shirt or a Harry Potter T-shirt?

My husband creates ideas for a T-shirt every year and we make one for 25 of our family. It has become a tradition to see what the yearly T-shirts say!

Everyone loves music. A gift card to Itunes is not only for music. My son downloads books for his college classes on Itunes. Audible.com also has books for downloading.

DVD's are always popular with men, women and teenagers. Try to find out if your person likes romance, action, sci-fy or adventure. That will help you determine what DVD's to buy. Possibilities are endless. If they are TV enthusiasts, full seasons are available on DVD's. They can watch an entire season in one sitting!
