Recipe for Gingerbread Men
Ingredients
- 2 and 3/4 cups plain allpurpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup of shortening
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 cup of molasses
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tsp. hot water
- 1 tsp. vinegar
Instructions
1.Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
2.Roll onto well floured surface.
3.Cut into gingerbread men.
4.Place on greased cookie sheets dusted with flour.
5.Bake at 350 degrees until brown

- I had planned to make my gingerbread biscuits and even a couple of houses this Christmas, but it didn't happen (again) so maybe next year I can get back to my good ol fashioned Christmas fun!
