What house?

Wow! Check out how many Christmas inflatables are in this person's yard!! The cool thing is that these really don't use a lot of electricity. While this particular house might notice a dent in their electric bill, just putting up a couple of inflatables for a month won't really cause a problem. One 8 foot inflatable draws maybe 80 watts of power.

Gemmy Inflatables for Christmas

The leader in inflatable decorations

Gemmy makes most of the decorations on this page and they are easily the leader in making outdoor airblown decorations. They focus on quality materials, easy setup and fun designs. Every year some new designs are added which keeps us coming back for more.

Prices range across the board - anywhere from $30 to $300 depending on the size of the decoration. Offering products across all price ranges means there's something for everyone. Small homes and large commercial properties can both decorate their outdoor space for he holidays with Santas, sleighs, reindeer or snowman.

Why people love Gemmy inflatables:

  • Self-inflating for easy set up.

  • Sturdy materials tough enough for all weather conditions

  • Safe to use

  • Fits back in original boxes for storage

  • Awesome durability

  • Great to mix and match with more inflatables!

The biggest complaint? There just aren't enough of these!

Amazon carries a large selection of Christmas inflatable yard decorations and it's a good thing because many local retailers have stopped stocking these in large quantities because they take up too much space they'd rather use for toys so don't despair if you can't find them at your local store this year. Just shop online.

Christmas Inflatables FAQ

Low Watt Airblown Inflatables

How much will the electricity cost to run my outdoor inflatable decorations?

These inflatables average about 80 watts. That means for each hour they are on, they use 80 watts of power. If you run your inflatable from 6pm to midnight seven 7 days a week through all of November and December (61 days), you'll use 29,280 watts of power.

Power is charged by the kilowatt hour (1000 watts in an hour). Divide the 29,280 by 1000 to calculate that one inflatable consumes 29.28 kilowatts of power during our example period.

According to the US Energy Information Administration's October 2010 report, the average retail price of electricity for consumers is $0.1145 per kilowatt hour so 29.28 kilowatt hours would cost a total of $3.35 for one inflatable for two months.

Substitute actual watts for your unique airblown decoration along with your unique hours of planned use and cost per kilowatt to calculate a more precise figure for your own home.
