Do you have a favorite Christmas novel?
A good, lighthearted book can really put you in the holiday spirit. Each year I try to read one or two new Christmas novels. Most of the time the books I pick are what I call the "feel good" easy reading type books. The book club I belong to also picks a Christmas type book for our December meeting, so I have read quite a few books over the years.
In this lens I will share some of the Christmas novels I have enjoyed and also show my list for future reads.

Christmas Books I Have Read
Promise Me
Richard Paul Evans
I really enjoyed this latest book by Richard Paul Evans. It is a delightful story full of mystery that begins one Christmas Eve with a secret that is kept for 18 years till another Christmas Eve. Keeps you guessing.
A Redbird Christmas
Fannie Flag
In this delightful book, Fannie Flag uses her wonderful sense of humor to bring us a story of good neighbors and the power of love. A must read book for the holiday season.
The Christmas Train
David Balducci
I always love a good mystery and David Balducci gives us a delightful Christmas mystery in The Christmas Train.
The Christmas Box
Richard Paul Evans
Richard Paul Evans books are always inspiring. This one is no exception and is a great "feel-good" book for the holiday season.
Skipping Christmas
John Grisham
This book by John Grisham was made into a movie. It has a story that I can really relate to about a couple who decides to escape the business of the holiday season by going on a cruise. I love Christmas, but there are times when the cruise thought has crossed my mind. This book is full o f Grisham's twists and turns and makes a quick read during the busy holiday season.
The Christmas Quilt
We read this book for my book club several years ago, and everyone agreed it was a good story. Christmas decorations help to bring up memories from the past.
A Season of Angels
Debbie Macomber
Debbie Macomber brings us a delightful story of three kooky angels, Goodness, Shirley, and Mercy and their adventures on bringing "good will on earth". It is a delightful comedy that will keep you laughing throughout.
A Cedar Cove Christmas
A nice "feel good" Christmas story.
The Christmas Thief
Who is the Christmas thief? This mother and daughter duo are always good for a fun who-done-it during the holidays.
Christmas Books I Want to Read
Call Me Mrs. Miracle
Debbie Macomber
I always love Debbie Macomber's Christmas stories.
Christmas at Harrington's
This one looks interesting.

- Oops, forgot to mention, I'd be happy to join you on a Christmas cruise! I've had Christmas in snow country all my life. One year though, we had a bon fire going all of Christmas and it was so nice we didn't even need jackets. My sister was out there in her pink shorty pajamas.

- Oh for the luxury of time to read! I might catch a movie version of a book while on the computer. These all look quite wonderful. I do get to read Christmas stories to my grandchildren, so I guess that counts.

- Well, I go more for the stories ... "twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse ..."

- I have read a couple of the books on your list and just picked up a few more at the library. I kind of immerse myself this time of year with Christmas books, movies, and music. :)
