Interesting idea. We were given a clock many years ago. It plays Christmas carols at the top of each hour. We liked the idea of keeping the Christmas spirit so much that it has never been packed away between Holiday Seasons. So walk into the Haule household and you may hear Silent Night or Joy to the World even though it is the middle of July!
Thanks for this page. I'm adding it to my christmas-trains lens!

What a beautiful idea! It would work really well as an inexpensive gift children could give to their parents or relatives as well.

It works well as a gift that can be done in the classroom. Just have the kids bring in a jar.

I keep thinking I would like to start one of these for each of my friends and add our little jokes to it all year long, then give it to them after I've filled it. Or now that I think about it, the notepad app on my iPod would be a great place to record those little quotes. :)

Congrats on being one of our Crafty Christmas lensmasters!

I was just reading about how to create a "Hugs Box" (you wrap an empty box with pretty paper and ribbons and attach a tag saying that it's filled with hugs, and to just hold it when you want a hug from that person) and then I landed here. What a great idea!

This is a great idea for a Christmas gift. Not every gift must be expensive or somwhoe else measurable in money. It is the message you want to transport with the gift. Thank you for inspiring and welcome to the Christmas decorations group.

What a cool idea and a great lens. I love 'finding' cool jars, but this idea means that I won't have to feel guillty now I can just transform them into Christmas Spirit Jars!
