It is a long held tradition to write to Santa and tell him our most cherished wishes for Christmas. It is fun to read the wish lists of children who want toys, dolls, games, and maybe something for their baby brother or sister. Those letters are mostly funny and innocent.
It gets a little more interesting when the Dear Santa letters come from adults. Adults can think of every contingency as they try to invent ways to get around Santa's rules. Yes, they are not as innocent as children and look for ways to game the system. It is said that flattery will get you everywhere but I'm not sure if that works with Santa. He has his naughty and nice list after all and don't you think he has probably heard it all before? Threats, cajoling, bribery, bargaining, and cheekiness, these have all been tried.
