Live Christmas Tree Removal Bag Solutions - How to Remove Your ChristmasTree without Making a Mess

Remove Christmastree Tips:

Buy Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree
1. Some people find it much easier to place a tree removal bag under the tree first, before setting up the tree for decoration, underneath their treestand. Then just cover the removal bag with your tree skirt. You'll have to fiddle with your treestand, but this is still a viable and less messy method.

2. Remove all ornaments, light strings, and tinsel (especially if you're recycling).

3. Remember to empty or drain your treestand before you begin! Spilled Sap can damage and stain your carpet - see #8 below.

4. Do you have branches that are too wide or too large for your removal bag? Cut branches off and place them in an adjoining trash bag.

5. Consider wrapping the branches of the tree with twine to compact its bulk. Start wrapping branches from the bottom of the trunk, encircling the tree to the top, compressing the branches tight to the center. It will help to wear heavy gloves. Some people also use duct tape and regular lawn bags cut open like a tube as an innovative method of wrapping and compressing the branches, as a low cost solution too.

6. Pine needles can ruin your vaccuum - use a broom or carpet rake to sweep up needle debris. (carpet rake shown here $9.99)carpet rake

7. Never burn your evergreen boughs, garlands or leftover yuletree in a fireplace or wood stove - your leftover wood is not dry and evergreens are notorious for unpredictable burns that smoke, stink and shoot off dangerous sparks. They also cause a build up of creosote, adding to the potential of a future chimney fire.
