They look lovely and you can personalize them
They look lovely and they are so simple to make. Use your old coffee mugs or tea cups. Take chalkboard paint in color of your choice. Paint the ceramic with the chalkboard paint. It shows good result with 2-3 coatings and bit of sanding in between coats. Once done, scribble the whole surface with chalk and then wipe it off. Your cup/mug is now ready to be personalized with important messages and 'love you' notes.
Use a voitve or tealight or if you are feeling more crafty, melt the wax and have a candlepot ready for the Holidays!

Votives in Burlap!

The glow of the votive through the holes of the burlap gives a soothing effect.
Take used or new glass and using decoupage glue or white glue + water, stick the burlap to the glass. If you do not want to get too sticky, you can simply fasten the two sides of the burlap together using double sided tape.
And if you are feeling more creative, then using acrylic paints, you can draw over the burlap.

Spray Paint and Lace makes a good votive holder
This votive holder looks very elegant and classy and it is again an easy DIY project. Take plain glass votive holder of your choice and take a piece of lace. Cover the votive holder with lace using double sided tape. Once the lace is securely in place, use spray paint of your choice. I have used silver color spray paint.
