    Thanks Eric,

    Your comments are appreciated.

I've just been to the Brighton Vegan Fayre (in the UK). What I did find interesting, and there were many very interesting elements there, was the Vegan Bodybuilders discussions.

You only need to take one look at these bodybuilders and you realize that we really don't need animals proteins at all. Amazing bodies.

One of the speakers is a Rawfood Bodybuilder. She has an amazing looking body.

The vegan cookery demonstrations were amazing also. Cheaper and quicker than cooking meat diets.

I know I've made the right choice by becoming vegan, both health wise and spiritually.

I feel much better in myself in every aspect.

Being aware of what I am putting into my body is also challenging mentally. Rather than picking something off the shelf because it looks nice is not an option any more. In fact the vegetable section is more appealing than it ever has been. My culinary creative juices are flowing.

    Keep healthy.

Great info!! I have started on a healthy diet journey myself..... I have realized that animal proteins are not good for our body... There is a book called The China Study about nutrition that will blow your mind away...
    Thanks again,
    Eric

    Hi Elizabeth,

    Thanks for reading my lens.

Yes, it's true. Although I forgot to put foliage in there (all corrected now).

    Hi Petra,

    Thanks for the comment.

That's the great thing about all this, you really don't need to eat meat.

One of the main concerns of people who are considering veganism, is the lack of protein. There are really no concerns. You can get all the protein you need from beans and lentils, beansprouts, tofu, soya milk, wholegrains, seeds, nuts and humous. I have a thing about chickpeas. I simply adore them in soup.

Another thing I have discovered. My grocery bill is cheaper. One bag of soupmix (pearl barley, marrowfat peas, red lentils, yellow and green split peas) costs 60p (about a dollar and a half for you) and will last me easily six meals. Mix this with vegetables and water plus a vegetable stock cube and you have a nutritious lunch. Don't forget a nice chunk of fresh bread...

You could consider taking the vegan pledge: http://www.vegansociety.com/people/lifestyle/pledge/

What harm can it do? BUT, what GOOD WILL IT DO?

    Thanks for reading my lens.

    Regards,

    Gary

    Gary,
I cannot believe what human beings can do to animals - I feel sick to the stomach reading your report. People who do this to animals are really - animals themselves. Thank you for creating this lens, I hope a lot of people will see it. It certainly makes me think twice about eating meat again.

You offer a lot of interesting information. I didn't realize that a silk type thread could be gleaned from pineapple.
    Thanks for the info
