Plan Your Picture for Your Photo Greeting Cards!
You should be taking pictures for your winter holiday greeting card all year long. (Yeah, right!)
As a mom, I know that you NEED to start thinking about your Holiday Photo before you start looking for a new recipes for sugar cookies!
If you already have your Holiday Photo for your card ready, you can enjoy the season more.
On this page you will find suggestions for clothing and card ideas for your Holiday Greetings. I have even included free patterns for cross-stitching projects, too.
I also have included a link to the video of my own Christmas 2007 photo shoot. Watch it; it is funny!
If you want to put your family image on the card shown here you can find it at Microsoft Templates. You can download it for free. FYI: this card template has a 4 out of 5 star rating. The blue would be perfect for a snow man themed photo for the Christmas Holidays! One could even use it for Hanukkah.

Shirts with A Holiday Theme from CafePress
You can find shirts for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Easter--Oh yes, St. Patrick's Day!
Shirts with a big design show up nicely in a photo!
Don't break the bank finding outfits, though. These tees are affordable, but you could make one of your own, as well.
Try cross-stitching or even stenciling a big pattern on a shirt. 100% cotton is the best fabric.
Holiday Outfits From Kelly's Kids
Create a theme for your greeting card with matching outfits.

My step-daughter sells Kelly's Kids. They always have the cutest outfits for the holiday season. The company even has matching sibling clothing.
Go to the Kelly's Kids website. Create an account. You have to do this to order. On the form there is a question at the bottom that says "Would you like a Kelly's Kids Rep to receive credit?"
Please put in Whitney Staggs as the rep you want to use.
The image here is from a past Kelly's Kids catalog.
Free Holiday X Stitch Patterns
Create Cute Outfits for Your Photo

I found some cute patterns on About.com that would make cute appliques for t-shirts. Maybe even some gift ideas.
(The cute Santa can be found at Carrie's Creations. Just scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the free patterns link, find "Christmas" and click, then find "Santa" and click.)
Here are the rules for using the patterns:
Patterns designed by Connie G. Thomas, Your Guide to Cross Stitch, are protected by copyright laws and may be printed for your personal use only. You may make one working copy of each pattern. Please, do not print multiple copies of free patterns. Each pattern has a unique name and URL. Pass this information along to anyone who is interested in a copy of a pattern.

The hearts were designed by Carrie Luhmann Pieniozek.

They are acid-free, lignin-free, buffered and archival quality. 10 pc Kraft- 80 lb 100% Recycled paper.
Design a Photo Greeting Card On-Line:
I have used Tiny Prints to create a Father's Day Card and a Birthday Card. This online greeting card store can even mail your card for you at no extra charge --other than the postage! I did that for the Father's Day Card and it got there when Tiny Prints promised it would. My father said it was the best card he had ever received and he was going to keep it! He thought it took me days and days to make the card, but it only took me 30 minutes. I uploaded photos of my grandkids (his great-grand-children) on the inside of the card to make it personal.
Click the Tiny Prints Christmas Photo Greeting Card banner below. It will open a new window and you can start finding your perfect greeting card.

- Excellent lens. I love the photo on the tag idea. Cards have become so expensive that it's nice to have an alternative. Blessed. Bear hugs, Frankster aka Cat-Woman aka Bearmeister

- I love to create greeting cards, and not just photo cards. I like to make cut paper cards, pop up cards, and 3 dimensional greeting cards. The most fun for me, though, is to design printable greeting cards for all occasions.
