A Christmas Decoration Can Be a Keeper of Memories

Very few things are capable of holding and keeping more memories than a Christmas decoration. Over the years, your Christmas tree becomes a scrapbook of sorts as new ornaments that celebrate life stages and events are added.

Fortunately, there are many simple ways you can ensure that a Christmas decoration and a Christmas ornament will hold special memories for years to come.  For instance, newlyweds can purchase their first Christmas decoration together.

They can also have a special Christmas ornament made with their names and wedding date on it to celebrate their first year as a married couple.  A special Christmas decoration that celebrates a baby's first official holiday is also a great way to make sure that the decoration will be a cherished reminder for years to come.

Children's handmade ornaments or ornaments engraved with their names will also become treasures that are full of delightful reminders for years - ones that you'll be emotionally attached to forever.

With each family member having a Christmas decoration of his or her own, trimming the tree each year becomes a trip down memory lane—and that's a trip you and your family will love taking.

What Kind of Christmas Decoration Will Your Tree Don?

Deciding what Christmas decoration your tree will "wear" this holiday season is one of the best parts of Christmas! There are so many choices, in fact, that you may have trouble choosing from all of the wonderful choices available.

Many people love the idea of a traditional Christmas tree that's a mixture of decorations they've used for years and includes the children's handmade decorations. Other options for Christmas tree decoration range from monochromatic to multi-colored trimmings.

Others like a themed tree. Popular themes include angels, folk art, and Victorian, to name a few. Some people find it so difficult to choose their Christmas tree's décor that they have several trees in their homes.

They may have a traditionally decorated one for the family in the living room, one with Barbie decorations in their daughter's room, and another with ornaments and lights in their favorite college colors in their family room.

When it comes to finding the perfect Christmas decoration, a lot depends on your personal tastes and sentimental values. Relax and enjoy yourself when selecting the decorations for your Christmas tree.

The only hard and fast rules for choosing the Christmas decoration you love best is to pick what makes you smile, what fits your budget and the time you have to decorate.

oooh...that's a good question. I think it might be the ones we made our first year of marriage when we were dirt poor - we swiped some felt, glue & stuff from a church and decorated some household lightbulbs & hung them on our tree with some wire. :)

I like your page & am lensrolling it to my Christmas page. Thanks!
