I had no idea there were so many Christmas jigsaw puzzles available! You have a great selection here, Brenda. I used to do puzzles a lot, but haven't done any in a while. Next on my list of things to try is a 3D jigsaw puzzle - they look awesome! Have a wonderful holiday season ...
    ;-) Karin

I love puzzles. The Charlie Brown one is really cool.

I am a wooden jigsaw puzzle maker, so you can imagine our family enjoys old-fashioned puzzles during Christmas, too :-) I have even published a how-to book using 1930's primary source instructions for making puzzles and boxes like those that were popular during the Great Depression era (see squidoo lens: http://www.squidoo.com/home-made-christmas-gift-ideas). Merry Ho Ho!

What a pretty lens Brenda, and I am so glad to see that jigsaw puzzles have come back in popularity, they are just so cool and remind me of days gone by. I think it is wonderful that you spend quality family time in December making Christmas puzzles - Kathy

I have a puzzle called "Victorian Christmas 1996 in a tin box. The puzzle is stilled sealed and the tin is in excellent condition. It is a Springbok puzzle put out be Hallmark. I am trying to find out what it is worth but have not ben able to find it oo the web
  • Treasures-By-Brenda Aug 15, 2010 @ 1:34 pm | delete
Hi, assuming you are in the U.S., I would start by looking on eBay and Amazon for 'Victorian Christmas Springbok.' I had a look now and found a few on eBay but none in a tin box. The lowest new Victorian Christmas puzzle by Springbok (not in a tin) is selling for $22.49 including shipping. You might get a few more dollars for one in a tin box although I am not certain. Hope that gives you some idea.

Thank you for getting back to me. I was able to locate the " Believe" puzzle on Ebay and was able to replace it.
  • puzzlelovercarol Apr 30, 2010 @ 10:39 am | delete
Does anyone know where I can purchase new used a 500 piece puzzle by Lang called "Believe"? It is a snowman and the shape of a snowman and the artwork is by Dan DiPaolo.

OMG! What a collection of great puzzles! I really am amazed by the number of different ones you've found on Christmas as well as the number of pictures you added to this lens!
Thanks also for having add it to my Christmas Toys lens - it's a great addition!

As always, Brenda, beautiful. I so enjoyed seeing so many darling puzzles. So tempting! I'm definitely now going to include one in my bag of tricks for the holdays. This lens is like a great specialty shop!!
  • Susan52 Oct 16, 2009 @ 2:04 pm | delete
These are absolutely, totally beautiful. Each time I picked a favorite, I scrolled down and found another favorite! Despite our cats, I just might have to put one of these out for us to do this year. (Now, wonder what happened to our roll-and-go for our puzzles?)

What a fun Christmas family activity this would be!
  • stargazer00 Oct 16, 2009 @ 10:22 am | delete
I love to do jigsaw puzzles. Unfortunately, the one other family member who also likes to do them is deployed in the Western Pacific! I think the Crazy Santa one looks especially fun! Christmas Blessings!

I haven't done a jigsaw puzzle since I was a kid, but this took me back. Nice work on the layout, looks great!

Thanks for dropping by my site ;-) I loved the puzzles in your site...and what an interesting idea...maybe I should think about doing a Christmas jigsaw puzzle tradition myself!
  • Cari_Kay Nov 28, 2008 @ 9:39 am | delete
We're working on one of the Thomas Kinkaide puzzles now. You did such a nice job on this page!

We love jigsaw puzzles at my house. Really enjoyed your lens!

I love a pretty puzzle and you sure are showing lots of great ones. My favorite is the Nutcrackers. I might be back to get that one. Great idea for a lens. Love it.
  • JaguarJulie Nov 16, 2008 @ 8:55 am | delete
My grandfather Alex Nagy was THE master jigsaw puzzle solver. He'd sit for hours down the basement of his Cleveland home doing them. Now, my mother has some of the most interesting landscapes/homes framed that are solved jigsaw puzzles. I almost want to say they are Thomas Kinkade works! Cool idea for a lens and for keeping everyone occupied during the holidays.
  • Joan4 Nov 13, 2008 @ 8:38 am | delete
We love puzzles! I had not considered a holiday one! Thank you! Beautiful lens!
  • dc64 Nov 5, 2008 @ 12:55 pm | delete
I'm addicted to jigsaw puzzles, but I don't have a kitchen table, or a table of any kind for that matter, so I haven't fixed one in a long time. Every free moment, I'm usually doing the squidoo thing! This is an impressive lens, though, and well deserves a lensroll!
  • GypsyOwl Oct 21, 2008 @ 10:33 am | delete
Splendid!! Thank you for taking so much time with this exceptional lens. :D Be sure to add it to the Holiday Shopping Cooperative group! I'll give it a special feature.

I love all the Christmas theme puzzles and really love the ornament puzzles. Wow! You are right there are a lot of puzzle choices. Thanks for your hard work shopping for them and putting them all together here.

    IN~JOY, GypsyOwl

Hi Brenda, This is a great tradition. I'm going to lenroll to your as well. Very nice lens here. Thanks for sharing it with me. ~Wendy
  • spirituality Oct 21, 2008 @ 5:54 am | delete
Great lens. Made just in time for christmass as well :) We don't have this tradition, but I know some of how it feels. When my dad, who does a lot of jigsaw, gets another very large puzzle - it's out on the table and everybody will occasionally put a piece in. Of course my dad does most. Real fun for the winter holidays :)
  • Tiddledeewinks Oct 20, 2008 @ 5:55 pm | delete
Great idea for a night of family fun in a tradition! Thanks for the idea. Families do need a break from all the new technology to just spend time being together and doing old fashioned board games and puzzles or crafts.
