Christmas Tree Storage - What to Choose

Whitney Design #MS6030 Mighty Stor Seasonal Storage Tree Bag

You want to keep your tree clean, dry and bug free. After all, artificial trees are not cheap! The cardboard box the tree came in is fine if you are keeping the tree inside and the box is in good shape.
If that's not the case, you need to invest in a storage bag. Is the storage spot dry? Then a good canvas bag might be perfect. Is there a possibility of moisture? Then consider plastic.
Make sure what ever you choose, the Christmas tree storage bag has handles for easy carrying, and is the right size for the tree. A zipper closure is probably better than snaps for protecting the tree. And make sure that it is sturdy enough to handle the weight of the tree. Happy storing!

Your Christmas Tree - Bag It or Box It?
You're ready to take the Christmas tree down. Nobody likes putting the Christmas tree away, but if you do it properly, when you get it out next year, it'll be as fresh as the day you bought it. Do you store it in a box, maybe the box it came in, or do you get a Christmas tree storage bag?
Whitney Design Mighty Stor Christmas Tree Bag

If you can't get the box to close all the way, or it is ripped or damaged, it might be a better bet to invest in a sturdy Christmas tree storage bag. Because it's a bag, it has some give, so if you don't put the tree back in exactly the way it came out, it won't matter so much.
Also, the bag will zip up tight and most likely be made from a somewhat waterproof material. This protects it from moisture, bugs and dirt. However you choose, make sure to keep your tree clean and dry for next year.

More Christmas Storage Options
You've got a plan for properly storing your artificial Christmas tree. What about all the other decorations? The strings of lights and ornaments galore. How about that tree topper and the inflatable snow globe in the yard?
Snapware 60621 Snap-N-Stack 3-Layer Ornament Box with Dividers

Make sure to carefully wrap your strings of lights - don't just ball them up. Place ornaments in the cardboard boxes they came from the store in, but then stack them in plastic bins for sturdy protection.
Even precious breakables like your nativity set can be carefully stored in a plastic bin all it's own. Use tissue or foam peanuts for padding and the heavy plastic box will serve as protection.
When you've finished packing all your holiday decorations, label the boxes and stack them neatly in the attic, basement or garage for next year.

The Christmas tree is one of the most popular traditions associated with the celebration of Christmas. Normally an evergreen coniferous tree that is brought into a home or used in the open, a Christmas tree is decorated with Christmas lights and colourful ornaments during the days around Christmas. An angel or star is often placed at the top of the tree, representing the host of angels or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity story.
