Every Christmas season I like to find ways to give back to others. I always grab a couple of names off of the tree at the mall for needy kids and bring back everything on their list. I donate food when I can, and I ship a care package to a soldier overseas as part of the Adopt a Platoon program.
This year, I'd like to do something for some kids who do so much for others. At my son's school, instead of just teaching them how to pass tests, they instill a moral code in each student, requiring them to complete 60 hours of volunteer service in the community.
The Class of 2008, for example, gave 10,936 of volunteer hours. The kids donate their time to Habitat for Humanity, local immunization centers, environmental "go green" programs, Meals on Wheels, local food banks, pet adoption centers, and after school programs for disadvantaged kids.
The kids at this school are raising money for their class programs now. This keeps the pinch off of parents who may feel the strain of all of the class fees many schools ask for on a monthly basis.

How Do You Wrap a Christmas Present?
1.) Find a box that fits. There are some people who cram a present into a too-small box because it's all they can find. Shop early and be prepared with properly fitting boxes for your presents!
2.) Line your gift box with beautiful tissue paper. You can find something that complements your gift wrap perfectly.
3.) Work in a clean, spacious gift wrapping spot! If you try to wrap presents in a cramped area, the gift wrapping paper gets crumpled. If you work on the floor where pets are, you run the risk of fur getting stuck in the paper or tape.
4.) Use a tape dispenser for easy wrapping. Trying to hold a tape container and wrap at the same time is frustrating. A tape dispenser stays still and allows you to work quickly.
5.) Always give yourself more wrapping paper than necessary. You don't want to be stuck with an open spot. Cut out a couple of more inches than what fits around the present so that you can neatly tuck in the paper and tape it down. Position the gift in the center of the paper.
6.) Tape as you go and make crisp creases. Put tape in place to hold the ends down and make crisp creases before you fold them down and tape them up.
7.) Add the finishing touches. Make sure you add a ribbon and a name tag for your Christmas present.
