Installing a recent version of Google Chrome OS: ChromiumOS Zero
Google Chrome OS is an operating system for netbooks designed to run web-based applications. The source of the Beta version of Google Chrome OS was released as open source Chromium OS in November 2009. ChromiumOS Zero was the first ready-to-use image created by Hexxeh, which could fit on a 1Gb USB drive.
ChromiumOS Flow is the latest ready-to-use image which has been designed to fit on a 2Gb USB drive. The instructions relate to ChromiumOS Zero, but should work with ChromiumOS Flow, provided you use a 2Gb or larger USB drive, of course.

Chromium OS: logging in
Chromium OS uses your registered Google name and password as your user name and password, so you must have an internet connection when you log in for the first time. By default you get up to 3 pages opened automatically, which can be updated in the options: Google Search, Google Mail and Google Calendar (if you have one). There is also a small logo in the top-left-hand corner of the screen that opens the application menu, which will open web-based applications, including Google Mail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, Google Search, Picasa, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

Chromium OS: finding the options
There is a very small "spanner" tool shape near the top-right-hand corner of every screen. This opens a drop-down menu, which includes "Options". Clicking this item opens the following screen for customizing your display, which has 4 tabs: Chromium OS, Basics, Personal Stuff, and Under the Hood.

- I used Google Chrome when it first came out, but I went back to using Firefox since I'm on Squidoo so much (and it seems very compatible with it). Nice work!
