Whether your church has a small or large membership, technology should play a central role in order to effectively handle the challenges of administration and growth within the church. Pinpointed below are 3 technology needs that will provide immeasurable benefits to your church. Change can be hard to embrace, but with it many times new opportunities and ideas will flourish.

* Website and Email. Probably the most critical technology goal to pursue would be to put up a church website and obtain an email account. This affords you a source to provide information to the community about your church and helps provides creditability by exposure and affords ease in communicating through the use of email. If you have a small membership and adult members are not Internet savvy, then seek out the youth as a source to meet this need. You would be amazed how well versed the youth is when it comes to Internet. Not only will they probably enjoy this endeavor, but serve as a great ministry for them and a way to become more involved in the church.

* Computer. We live in the age of technology and it is almost impossible for any organization to effectively exist without the use of a computer as the central tool in managing and running the organization. The computer is used for a wide range of functions within the church ranging from communications by the use of email, composing letters and bulletins, running financial software to track the church's budget, and the list goes on. Even the smallest of churches has one computer and often two, which are routinely used.

* Projector. Installing a projector was probably one of the most beneficial technological advances that my small church made. It would be hard to visual our worship service without the use of the projector. It provides reinforcement to the pastor's sermon with visual representation of scripture and keynotes. You will be amazed at how often you will use this automation tool.
