my st.giles at Easter
light
generally st.giles -as any 11th century church - is very dark inside. this year - 2008 - during Easter there was a fantastic light inside - i guess more sunny outside - but still....
St. Cuthbert Church - Edinburgh




St. Cuthbert was a 7th century monk and bishop of Northumbria. His origin is believed to be near Firth of Forth, near Edinburgh.
The present church building was finished in 1894, and six previous buildings were found on the location.
The stained glass windows installed between 1893 and 1912.
School of Divinity - Edinburgh
The Gothic Style New College, housing the University's Faculty of Divinity and the Church of Scotland's General Assembly were designed by William Playfair - a leading figure in Edinburgh's Enlightenment.
