Cheyenne...My Favorite Horse

Ranked #6,183 in Pets & Animals, #154,629 overall

Cheyenne

Cheyenne is my favorite horse. She is my favorite to ride, too. She is pretty head-strong, but her gaits are amazing! They are the smoothest you will ever feel. Though she isn't too fast, she is so smooth and controlled. She isn't my horse. I wish she was! She belongs to Scottie Book, my horseback riding instructer. But I have the gift of getting to ride Cheyenne. The sad thing is Cheyenne has to retire soon. Probably very soon. A bunch of other girls ride her, and she can't take it all. I love her anyway.

Who Is Cheyenne?

Cheyenne is my favorie horse! Read below for more.

Who is Cheyenne?

ChyanneCheyenne is a horse that belongs to Scottie Book, my horseback riding instructer. Cheyenne is a spotted Tennesse Walker, so that is why she is a little slower. She is really pretty, and has wonderful gaits. It is so much fun to canter with Cheyenne. Cheyenne is a little head-strong, even Scottie agrees. What is head-strong? Head-strong means she does what she wants to do. But she loves to canter, so when you let her, she is so happy. She doesn't like to go on the edges of the arena. And often times, she cuts the corners. But she is still my favorite!

Yes! It's great to have a favorite. When I started riding my favorite lesson horse was an Appy named Snow.

Great looking Tennessee Walker. They are a wonderful breed of horse. I used to ride horses when I was a young pipsqueak. We used to play rodeo. :)

Cheyenne's Gaits!

(Walk, Trot, Canter, Gallop) They are amazing! Read more below.

Cheyenne's Gaits

(Walk, Trot, Canter, Gallop)

CanteringLike I said earlier Cheyenne has amazing gaits! First of all, a gait is the speed and way the horse walks or runs. Cheyenne's walk is good. She is fast and loves to lead. Her trot is awesome! You may ask how I can tell the difference from Cheyenne's trot, from any other horses trot. Cheyenne's trot is not as bumpy or wiggly. Another horse I have ridden before was really, really bumpy! I almost fell off! Her canter is SO much fun! She isn't all that much fast, but so controlled and you feel like you are flying! Her gallop...Wow. How do I even explain it? Oh my goodness! her gallop is amazing. She is so fast! And may I add controlled? Can you tell how awesome she is?

I've only tried walking while horseback riding, but I love that! I'd love to try going faster someday.

Cheyenne's Saddle

It is really comfy! Read about it below!

Cheyenne's Saddle

Dressage

Chyanne's SaddleCheyenne's saddle is a dressage saddle. It is really, really comfy. If you sit in it, it is the perfect size and feel. It isn't too hard. It isn't TOO soft. For me it is a little harder too put on and take off because there are a lot of buckles, and it is a dressage saddle. I am used to English pleasure. But Scottie is amazing and knows almost everything about horses and is able and willing to help me. I love Cheyennes' saddle because it is so comfy and when you bounce, it doesn't hurt! Not even a little bit!

Book Family Farm!

Book Family Farm is where I ride horses! It is a lot of fun, and best of all, it is Christian!

Book Family Farm

The Best Horseback Riding Ever!

Shelly's Barn I have said her names and few times and I am going to say it again! (Drumroll) Scottie Book! She is like the best riding instructer you can get at my age. And other ages too! She is really nice and care-free. I really like her. And she is a great, great teacher! She has trained me well so far, and I am almost a level two rider in a span of only 7 full lessons! I love riding at Book Family Farm because Scottie makes you feel happy and at home. Thanks so much Scottie!

Would you like to ride at Book Family Farm?
