Dine With Cinderella in The Magic Kingdom Castle

Cinderella's Royal Table Character Dining

Cinderella's Royal Table is one of the most popular restaurants in the whole of Walt Disney World. And no wonder. It is your only chance to dine inside the Magic Kingdom Castle.

If you want to dine here you really do have to make Advance Dining Reservations either online or by calling 407 WDW DINE up to 90 days ahead. Disney resort guests have an advantage - they can call 90 days ahead and make bookings for the first 10 days of their stay.

You can now also make Disney Advance Dining Reservations online at Disney World Restaurants

As this is a very popular restaurant I would suggest you make reservations as early as possible. But don't give up if you can't get reservations the first time you call. Guests do cancel so persistence can sometimes pay off. I was lucky enough to get a walk in once (yes it was early December but I was still surprised).

How Do I Increase My Chances of Getting A Reservation?

Lines open at 7am EST. And yes it really does book up within minutes. There are only 130 tables and lots of people out there want one! So be prepared to start calling a minute before 7am. Have the redial button ready. I have known people even have more than one phone dialed out at slightly different times - one in each hand! OK yes so perhaps that was me but it worked.

When your call connects you will encounter a series of menu options. Hit the right button as quickly as you can. When you get a reservationist on the line immediately say what you want. Be quick, or believe me someone else will be.

Now the new online reservation system is up and running it may be even more difficult - as some of the spots are going to be taken by internet bookings. I haven't personally tried this for Cinderella's Royal Table yet but what I would suggest is having the right screen up in front of you at least 5 minutes before the reservations open. Ideally if you have more than one computer get someone to help you! About 20 or 30 seconds before the reservations open try booking. If this doesn't work keep trying.

You could of course try simultaneously trying to book on the internet and calling. Perhaps you could get a friend to help with this one!

I know it sounds like a finely tuned operation to get a table - but if you want one then you do have to do this. Or take your (small) chances of a cancellation or a walk in.

This is a Disney Signature Dining Experience. So if you are using the Disney Dining Plan this will use up 2 table service credits.

Remember too that there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. Your credit card details will be taken when you make the Advance Dining Reservation and will be charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand.

Cinderella's Royal Table Restaurant Photo Package

What is included in your meal at Cinderella's Royal Table?

This character meal location is what is known as a photo package experience. What does this mean? The price of the meal also includes a photo with one of the characters.

When you arrive at the restaurant you will be shown into the lobby and a photo of your party will be taken. When you are eating your meal the photo print will be delivered to your table. The photo package is four 4x6 prints and one 6x8 print of your photo, as well as one 6x8 print of Cinderella Castle in a Cinderella photo holder. Each party of 1 to 4 guests will get one photo package,5 to 8 guests will receive two packages.

You will also be able to buy more copies if you wish.

There are mixed reviews about whether or not guests like this part of the dining package. Some see it as a great chance to have a professional photo taken with a Disney character - others see it as a waste of time and money.

Personally for the times I have dined there we have had to wait a long time for the photo to be taken - and my children are so used to the characters the novelty has worn off for them!

Cinderella's Royal Table Review

Is Cinderella's Royal Table Really Worth It?

I am often asked whether I would recommend a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table. I tend to reply that it is something which every Disney visitor should experience at least once if they can. Because that is really what it is. An Experience.

Is the food great? Not really. It is pretty average and certainly not as good as that served in other Disney World character dining restaurants. If you want higher quality food and want to dine with Cinderella then I recommend 1900 Park Fare in The Grand Floridian.

I am not a big fan of the Photo Package Experience either. I would rather pay less for the meal than have to buy a photograph. But I do know that many other guests would disagree with me as they like the opportunity of the professionally packaged Disney photo.

But this is your only chance to dine in Cinderella's Castle. If only for that experience you may decide that this is a great choice for your family. But take notice. Book ahead. It really is the most popular Disney World restaurant!

How fun! I remember the character breakfast with my daughter. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The menu for Cinderella's table looks really good. I have highlighted this on my restaurant review lens: http://www.squidoo.com/pinkcadillacdiner

We have dined at Cinderella's Castle several times now, it is very pricey, and the food is just okay, but for my girls the experience of dining "in the castle" and seeing all the favorite princess charachters is the tops. We have done Breakfast 3 times now, dinner once, and lunch once....we obvioulsy prefer the breakfast for a few reasons actually...

First, everyone is awake, fresh, and happy to be there. It's a nice relaxed experience and really is lovely to look out the windows over Fantasy Land. You don't get that rushed feeling from the servers.

Second, by making an early reservation (8am is my choice) you get to enter the park before it opens. I really love being able to take in the great views of the park with no crowes and take great pictures along Main Street and in front of the Castle.

Lastly, with an 8am dining time you are exiting just about 9am when the park opens and you are right in FantasyLand with no wait times for rides!
