I, Brite-Ideas, was the winner of a $72,000 ML 500 Fully Loaded Mercedes-Benz SUV. It was the first major lottery win of my life. Ha! I say first because I believe anything is possible! If you don't believe me, you can read below about the Couple I met who won the lottery twice!

That's right, they are! One person did tell me that the new "Lotto Max Lottery" that replaced the "Super 7" was taxable...but I haven't been able to personally confirm that, and Wikipedia says it's not taxable. So as far as I personally know, ALL Canadian Lottery Jackpots are tax free!

This was an acquaintance through work. He won approximately $5,000,000. I never spoke directly with him after he won the lottery, but from other co-workers I understand it was by playing the "Super 7 Lottery" which is now "Lotto Max". I'm trying to remember when this happened because it was a long time ago - I think it was over 15 years ago, but I can't remember exactly.

Again, this is a person I knew through work. I hadn't talked with her in years, and then all of a sudden, while I was washing the dinner dishes, there she was on our local T.V. news station collecting a $1 Million dollar winning from Princess Margaret Lottery. I shrieked with excitement for her!

Someone in my extended family, won over $1 Million Dollars. I would say it was from a lottery where you pick the numbers.

I actually don't personally know these people. My sons play hockey, and one the parents on the team told me about this family who live around the corner from us who won about $5,000,000. Not sure which lottery they played; what I do remember is being told they had to move right away because they were so inundated with calls and people coming to their door. This win took place about 10 years ago.

I can be more specific about this win! My dad won $10,000 off of scratch ticket (from the lunch truck I think it was). This happened in the 1980's. What was so cool about this win (other than the money), was that I got to go to the lottery center with my Mother to collect the prize. There we sat in a room, waiting for someone to come with her cheque, and it was such a happy day!

I think the best place to work must be in a Lottery Center where they give out prize money all day, because I can tell you from my own experience, everyone in there is smiling and positive. Why not, all they do all day is hand out dreams! I loved being there.

While we were in that waiting room, we meet a Couple who were there collecting a win for the second time!

As mentioned above, when I was with my Mother collecting her $10,000 at the lottery center, we were in a waiting room with a couple who were there for the second time. I didn't know them personally, so I don't know what lottery they played. They did tell us their first winning was $10,000 and that day they were there to collect a win of $100,000.

Again, this was a long time ago (over 20 years), so I don't remember which lottery they played to win the money.

I do know they were happy and the win came at a very needy time in their lives.

Again, I know them, but not personally. However, members of family know them quite well. Not sure what lottery they played to win this money, but I heard they bought a new home. Again, this happened a very long time ago (has to be 20 years now).

This happened fairly recently - a couple of years ago. My hubby didn't personally know him, but knew who he was on the job. I understand he quit his job! Not sure what lottery he played, but I think it was a lottery where you pick the numbers (not a 100% sure though).

Personally I almost never play Bingo (I can't keep up!).My mother can play a ton of cards and check them all, before I've marked one! She's amazing at it.

My mom has won many many times; Amounts like $1100, $700, $500 and so on. Also, a friend of hers won approximately $16,000!

Although it would seem like it was written because all of the lottery winners I know, it wasn't. It's just a funny country song about a guy that can never get a date, girls don't like him....until one day when...he wins the lottery!

I can't help it, I'M LUCKY!!!!

Well, not a great deal.

It probably works out to just over a couple of hundred dollars per year.

For me, it's worth it, because I just have a sense that I'll win!

It's very simple:

"Because I think I'm lucky, I believe I'm lucky"...I know, it sounds to darn basic, but it's true; I BELIEVE I'm lucky.

One could say that thinking this way has created the Self-Fulfilling Prophecy, and I'm O.K. with that!

I always say if you're going to tell yourself something, make it good! Stop with the "I'm not lucky", "I never win", "I don't think anyone really wins" comments! Because that energy is not helping.

Here's an example: Someone in my family decided to start buying lottery tickets with me because she hears me say "I'm lucky" all the time. She was one to repeat all that negative talk I mentioned above, so I suggested she STOP saying those things while we are buying tickets together! I said "stay positive, think about winning, we're lucky!" ...are you wondering if we won anything?

Well after about a month of buying a $3 dollar ticket every week, we won $119. Plus, she won another $30 last week. She was so shocked! I believe it has to do with your energy; not that "good energy" alone will cause you to the win the lottery, but good energy is a better choice than "bad energy".
