Original Photography - New York City & Twin Towers
I have been taking photographs of New York City for about 20 years. The World Trade Center used to be such a dominant part of the skyline, I found myself photographing the towers often. Both from the New Jersey Side of the Hudson, and from within the city itself.
Many of my photographs of New York City are now available as posters, framed prints and greeting cards. Below are some examples of my favorites. I hope it can bring a feeling of peace to look at these images. I find that many people find some comfort in them. I will be writing more about my experiences, and posting more photography in the near future, so stop by again.

Below is a collection of my original photography featuring New York City, and the Twin Towers (World Trade Center) as they appeared in the skyline before 9/11. I am lucky to have had many opportunities to photograph them. And now, sadly, that view is gone

View From the Top - Twin Towers as Seen from Greenwich Village Apartment
This photograph was taken from the fire escape of the Greenwich Village apartment I lived in for 10 years. Sadly, this view is forever gone. New York - PBS HOme Video DVD Collection
As a lover of both film and history, this is undoubtably the best documentary I've ever seen. I was awed at Ric Burns ability to make the city a living breathing character with as much trials and turbulations as any great character in history. At times I forgot I was watching a documentary, because I was so dramatically tuned into the story.
With ample time devoted to it's many evolutions, each chapter is both informative and facinating. I have watched the entire series many times, and I am always amazed at how emotionally moving the legacy of this great city really is.
Help Provide Opportunities for Inner City Youth
Even in the best of circumstances, growing up can present real challenges. For inner-city school children those challenges are multiplied many times over and are often overwhelming. The Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF) helps remove the fundamental challenge of getting a good education in a safe, secure environment in New York City. More than 60% of the students enrolled at the 105 designated elementary and secondary inner-city schools in Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island come from homes living near or below the federal poverty line-the average scholarship recipient's family income is $27,000 per year. Over half of ICSF students come from single-parent households. Despite these impediments, our schools-in partnership with our donors-enable our students and their families to overcome enormous odds and break the cycle of poverty through education.
Since 1971, Inner-City Scholarship Fund has invested in the education of more than 116,000 students who live in some of the poorest neighborhoods. Today, 99% of our high school seniors graduate and of these 95% go on to college.
