Ways to deal with Rush Hour Traffic

One great way to avoid stress in rush hour traffic is to give yourself some extra time to get to work or to your destination if you can. I know sometimes it can be hard to give yourself extra time especially if you live in a bigger city or out in the suburbs. I also know it is hard to avoid massive rush hour traffic when you can not get off work until after the traffic hits. Another reason to give yourself extra time is so that you will not get into a rush. What I mean is people often drive over the speed limit when he or she has or does not give themselves enough time to get to any destination and increases his or her chances of getting into an accident and potentially causing death.

The second way to avoid massive traffic is to not drive during rush hour traffic hours. Some people wait for a while so the massive traffic to clear. I used to find something to do in the city while I wait for the traffic to lighten up. I do not like to sit in traffic and wait for other cars ahead of me. However, I remain patient in order to not make the other drivers around me nervous.

If people do not or have to take the major routes to get towards his or her destination they should take other less used routes. There are two routes to get from the city to my home. Most people in my area usually take the interstate during rush hour. However, there are people whom avoid the interstate and take the highway which has a lot less traffic than the interstate does during rush hour.

We at Squidoo passionately believe in creating new ways to support good causes online. By making a donation to Inner-City Scholarship Fund from this page, you are sending money directly to that organization, in whatever amount you want. We don't touch it. We don't even see it. The author of this page doesn't either. And if you made it this far, thanks for caring.
