I loved that you built a lens about your great grandfather serving in the Civil War. I love reading and learning about the Civil War. One of my favorites is the ironclads. Great lens!

Appreciating this topic on Civil War. It is unfortuante that the Civil War, only 4 generations back, is already being forgotten. I have done quite a few topics on Community TV show as community service here in Northern Virginia in the last few years. I invite participation on the debate that my friend John and I are continuing, "Could The Civil War be avoided ?". John says NO. I say, Yes. Anyoone interested in this question today ? Thanks for this valuable Civil War lense.

What a great idea for a lensography. I do not know a lot about the Civil War, but I always take a great interest in history, so I will come back and go through some of these over time. Awesome!

This is such an interesting (and well done) niche topic. I'll be back to read more.

Great lens, I was a civil war buff as a kid. It would be neat to learn about an ancestor during this time period.

Good going Virginia! The Civil War in itself is fascinating, but the fact that you had a relative who experienced the rigors of war and Andersonville certainly makes a well-chosen subject for the quest.
