CL became leader of the spanking YG gang 2NE1. 2NE1 was announced in 2009 and debuted in "Lollipop" with Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Gong Min-ji. The song gained immediate star, but questions were still raised as to whether the arrange can live on on its own.
