A monster shaped like a man. He has no arms, and no heart. He looks after and protects Claire for reasons of his own, which are unclear. He is tall and incredibly thin, with bony hips and his ribs showing. His waist is narrow. His legs are incredibly long, giving him most of his height. He wears leather pants with horizontal straps running up his legs and over his hips. His shirts are always thin and tight, showing his ribs. Sometimes he wears a cloak, sometimes not. His expression is usually blank.

The suave and handsome nobleman who cares for Claire. He has a bit of a reputation as a womanizer. He has a handsome face: straight nose, thin eyebrows, perfect teeth. His eyes are dark and penetrating. His symbol is a black rose. He usually wears a black suit and shiny black dress shoes. His vest is black and his shirt is white. He wears a black tie. He always wears gloves, usually white. He is also known to wear black leather pants and boots, with a black silk shirt and gloves. His hair starts off medium length, just touching the back of his neck. It's usually pushed back form his face. It's dark brown and slightly wavy, and soft. Later on, it grows out a bit and he ties it at the back of his neck. His expression is usually a charming, false smile.

The High Empress if the Ruler of the last city, and the only person Julius answers to. She is a mysterious figure, obviously not human. She has ruled the city since she built it, over two hundred years ago. After the Firestorm, she gave people back technology and civilization. The only thing she asks for in return is her people's undying love and devotion.

She has a measure of control over the elements as well, bringing icy winds and snow to the city when she chooses.

Julius' twin sister. She is insanely in love with him and he keeps refusing her. She enjoys corrupting Claire. Delilah wears black a lot, and always dresses and skirts. Her clothes are always showy, and a bit revealing. She has large breasts and wide hips, with a narrow waist, giving her an hourglass figure. Her nails are long and usually black or red. She wears heavy makeup around her eyes. Heavy mascara, but never black eyeshadow. It is usually green to match her emerald eyes, but sometimes it is crazy colors like fuchsia too. She changes her hair color and style on a whim, usually going for something flashy over something muted. She wears shiny black high heels and always carries a cigarette on her. Though she never smokes in front of Julius, because he doesn't like it. She will carry an unlit cigarette in her hand when she is talking to him. She has a habit of tapping the filter on her bottom lip.

Jacqueline is Julius' secretary. She also serves as his bodyguard, chauffeur, therapist, and, on one occasion, lawyer. She is unwavering in her loyalty and Julius extends a certain amount of trust to her because of that. This trust very rarely is something good, though. Jacqueline knows more about Julius than any other person alive. She alone knows how truly evil he is, and it frightens her to her core. Despite this, or maybe even because of it, she does have a certain amount of feeling for him and would never willingly leave his side.

He will flirt with anything that moves. He wears vinyl pants in all shades, though blue is his favorite color. He likes tight, sleeveless shirts, even fishnet ones. He's been known to wear corsets too. He wears high heeled boots. His nails are long and usually painted. He sometimes wears lipstick and eye makeup, and looks damn good in it. He has the best grin, it's seductive and crazy at the same time.
