Unexplained Link Unearthed Between The Medical Science And The Science Of Astrology
If you are among those thousands of people, who believe that the science of astrology play its role only when it comes to your personality, behaviour, emotions, outlook and gesture and match making with the people born under the other zodiac signs, then you are probably bearing a wrong and incomplete concept in your mind. A very recent study carried out by Peter Austin along with three other researchers at the Institute for the Clinical Evaluative Science in Toronto, using data from 10,000,000 denizens of Ontario in the year 2000, has unearthed the fact that the science of astrology has an unexplained association with certain medical disorders.

The study has opened a new dimension for both the world of astrology and the medical science. It has been established that the people who are born under the zodiac sign Virgo, usually have a tendency to vomit more during pregnancy periods, while the people born under the zodiac sign Pisces are highly exposed to the risk of heart failure and the Librans are more prone to the pelvis fracture. It has also been established that each of these 12 zodiac signs has at least two distinctive diseases that they are associated with.

According to the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council grantee Peter Austin, "replace astrological signs with another characteristic such as gender or age, and immediately your mind starts to form explanations for the observed associations." Austin also said that they could then conclude with the well-constructed reasons behind the fact that they saw such results. As per Austin they did the study in order to prove a larger point - the more they looked for patterns, the more likely they were to find them, particularly when they didn't begin with a particular question.

Peter Austin discussed his results at the conference of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) that was held at San Francisco and continued from 15th to 19th February 2007. He found that although each of the 12 astrological sign was in association with its own unique medical disorders, his initial results were not reproduced when they were fully examined in a second mass of population. Austin, during his speech, said, "scientists take pains to make sure their clinical studies are conducted accurately, but sometimes erroneous conclusions will be obtained solely due to chance."

Insofar the statistical chances are concerned, in 5% of cases the scientists may come up with wrong conclusion regarding the existence of an association, while as a matter of fact no such association actually exists in the population that the scientists are studying. Hence the only best mode of mitigating the chance of ending up with an incorrect conclusion is to produce unexpected results in the forthcoming studies.

According to Austin there always exists an unprecedented risk of creating a scientific decision based on the results of a single study - especially when the results proved to be unanticipated or the association was one that they had never decided to research on. Austin believes that when a series of studies severally or jointly will come to the same conclusion, there will be no risk of arriving at the wrong conclusion.

Hardy's Tess: Quest Of Irony

If a man puts his arm around a lady's shoulder, saying in his warm loving tone, "don't cry", would it be awful?
Such may be a beginning in the quest of irony. If we would have a little risk on saying that the test of a great writing - especially novel, is organic or imaginative structure, we won't be wrong. As Coleridge defines the power of imagination as a fusion of many into one, it will not have a way to disagree. The organic form does not stand without fusion. It may also be said that the mind's vibration seeks always fusion. I shall endeavor to show that irony. Perhaps, the complexion may arise in the sense of any kind of organic form.
While emphasizing on adding special effect of irony to their writings or expressions, the modern critics, sometimes looses their track. They are sometimes seen ending up with something very cheap.

In certain respects, the position taken here is antipodal, i.e. the exact opposite of a person or a thing, which occurs interestingly in a novel to improve the design on life. "In proportion as in what fiction offers us we see life without rearrangement, do we feel that we are touching the truth, in proportion as we see it with rearrangement, do we feel that we are being put off with a substitute, a compromise, and a convention." Henry James wrote a paradox in his Art Of Fiction that demands such a wide hearing.

I love Fidel Castro

I am sad

I am sad that such a charishmatic leader like Fidel is retiring. I truly salute him he made a mockery of CIA . They tried to assasinate him atleast 600 times. So sad . USA should take his advice instead of advising him.
