The Best and the Worst...in my humble opinion!
- BEST Mascara: Lancome Deficils Pro in Black. I have searched for years for the perfect mascara. One that doesn't wear off, rub off, run down my face or make me look like I have raccoon eyes and this is THEE Mascara for me!
- Worst Mascara: (In my humble opinion) I am a big time Too Faced fan. I have a ton of their products but I just hated their mascara. It was very disappointing because I love all of their other things so much but I felt like it dried out really fast and clumped on my lashes but didn't give me enough color or length.
- BEST Eyeshadow: This is a toss up for me!! I LOVE Clarins eyeshadow especially their Quads!! Four yummy colors to choose from!! I am also madly in love with Too Faced Eyeshadow Duos!! Love love LOVE them! Very richly pigmented, great staying power and they have the coolest names!
- Worst Eyeshadow: (In my humble opinion!) Anything from a drug store. They just don't give you the WOW factor as their pigments aren't as rich and to me they always look washed out, probably because they don't have much staying power.
- BEST or Worst Eyeliner: Don't know! I hardly EVER wear eyeliner...why should I when I have a million and one great eyeshadows that are ready to be turned into eyeliner at my whim!
- BEST Liquid Foundation: I'm a Clarins girl all the way with liquid foundation...well that is when I have the right color in...because pay retail? No way!!! Love the coverage and the fact that its light weight. They have different formulas for everyone!
- Worst Liquid Foundation: (Of course in my humble opinion!) Actually right now I am using a firming lifting foundation by Shiseido. Love the color and love the fact that it is fragrance free. It has great coverage but it feels so thick and heavy. I don't like to waste so I will have to finish it before I can get back to my Clarins!!!
- BEST Pressed Powder: This again is a toss up!! I have THREE that I like to use!!! I have a MAC that is awsome, a Too Faced one with a little shimmer and a limited edition Clarins Diamond compact. I like that the best because I like how the powder has designs in it!! It is also in a cool compact!!
- Worst Pressed powder: Haven't really come across one I didn't like yet!
- Lipstick, not my favorite thing: Ok, I have very strict rules when it comes to lipstick. They can't have any smell to them (unless its a gloss..that is different) but when I say smell I mean one of those weird fragrances, not really floral but..I don't know..little ole granny perfume bad fragrance. ANYway, I want something that isn't going to make me gag if I lick my lips. So basically I hardly ever wear lipstick, I think I have like ONE in my makeup case.
- BEST Lip Gloss: IS there such a thing as a bad lip gloss? Now where I really pretty much dispise lipstick, I am totally enamored with lip gloss!!! I couldn't even say how many I have! They are everywhere, drawers, pockets, purses. I am addicted to them!! MAC is probably my favorite with lip gloss but Too Faced, Laura Mercier, Lancome, Estee Lauder and Clinique come in real close behind it. You can pick any one of those brands and be assured that you have a great gloss!
- BEST Beauty Tools: If you don't have a good set of makeup brushes, then stop reading right now and go out and get yourself some...or better yet head on over to Bela's Boutique where I carry quite a few brands!! Makeup just can NOT be applied correctly without the proper brush. I own brushes from NARS, Clarins, Lancome, Chanel, Estee Lauder. I just got in the entire line of Scott Barnes Brushes and I am dying to get my hands on them! They are beautiful!! Smashbox also has great kits (have two different ones in my Boutique!)
