Classic Country is Better Than Rock

It has more of a down to earth sound and southern drawl to it, and the guitars don't scream at you. Some kinds of rock sounds o.k., but classic country (not that new stuff that isn't even country), is BEST!!!

Rock is dull, boring, uninspired, unimaginative, soulless, and it all sounds the same! Classic country had soul that most of the new stuff doesn't have. You could say that classic country was the first true soul music.

I grew up in the 60's and 70's and hated country! Now i look for the classic stuff. Really enjoying Conway and Loretta these days. It reminds me of when I was a kid because those were the sounds I remember the most. My Mom's music. Now that she's gone I find new meaning in the music.

Both are peoples music and both can be terrific. After all, country was one of the many fathers of rock 'n roll.

That's what is great about this country, we can all have our own opinions. While I respect yours, I must disagree. I'm definitely NOT a country music buff! You're right that the guitars don't scream at you in Classic Country! But I love screaming guitars, bangin' drums, full-on bass and a loud obnoxiously wonderful vocalist! We all have our own music interest. If yours is Classic Country, all the power to you! Rock on!
