Aladdin Movie

and the unforgettable Aladdin soundtrack.

The Disney version of the Aladdin movie was released back in 1992, and to this day remains one of Disney's best work. Who can forget about the tale of a peasant boy who falls in love with a princess. Though the odds of courting her were nearly impossible due to his status as a street rat, he soon finds a magical lamp. Inside lies a genie who grants him three wishes. You probably know the rest of the story from there.

If you loved the movie, then you could not have forgotten the Aladdin soundtrack. "A Whole New World" remains one of the most heartfelt and breath taking songs to grace the Disney landscape.

Snow White Movie

The Snow White Disney version was released way back in 1937, and is the first full length animated film to be produced by the company. The plot features Snow White who befriends seven dwarves, but soon falls into an eternal slumber after biting into a poison apple given to her by the evil queen disguised as an old witch.

With this film being the first and oldest by Disney, it is truly a classic and deserves the top slot among the vault of Disney masterpieces. You can get the Snow White DVD through the link below, as well as on blue-ray.

Pocanontas

Here is yet another among the classic Disney movies. This one is based on the actual life history of Pocahontas, a Powhatan Native American princess who saved the life of John Smith, who was seconds away from execution at the hands of her father.

Of course, a little bit of historical accuracy was sacrificed at the expense of making the film more children friendly. Nevertheless, Pocahontas remains one of the all time greats among Disney films. It also comes with a valuable message: that people of other cultures should be respected, and just because they have different beliefs and way of life, that does not give you the authority to steal their land or impose your beliefs on them. This film is a reminder of native American culture that was lost as a result of greedy settlers.

Colours of the Wind

by Vanessa WIlliams

Instead of showing you a trailer, I would like to show the music video of "Colours of the Wind", performed by Vanessa Williams. This song was featured in the film and became an instant hit. This song is so beautifully written and is sure to deeply touch the hearts of all who listen to it.

Mulan

Mulan was released in 1998, and has cemented a slot among the top Disney classic movies. Mulan centers around an ancient Chinese fable of a young bride to be. When their country comes under invasion, her aging father is called on to serve in the military. Not wanting to see her father go into battle, she disguises herself as a man, and takes his place.

Mulan contains some memorable moments. Who could forget Mushu, Mulan's dragon companion voiced by Eddie Murphy? Mulan is also a good role model for young girls. It teaches that girls can be just as head strong and accomplish extraordinary things that are normally reserved as roles for males.

Reflections

Here is the official video of Reflections, a beautiful song performed by Christina Aguilera, and featured in Mulan.
