We Need to Laugh
Can you imagine a world without laughter? I can't. We need to laugh at ourselves and with others. It lowers blood pressure and reduces stress (and if you don't have any stress in your life, you don't have a boss like mine.)
Just kidding, but when I need to wind down and relax, I turn to classic humor. While watching an episode of Laurel and Hardy or The Three Stooges, for a brief period of time I can forget about deadlines, papers, and snippety bosses. Laughter rolls in and joy abounds.

Laurel & Hardy - Hollywood Party (1934)
Here's another film featuring brief cameos by the Boys. Hollywood Party was an MGM film from 1934 featuring all of the big stars signed to MGM at the time. Stan and Ollie made numerous film cameos during their long career, but this one is regarded as one of their finest.

I usually go to books rather than movies when I need a laugh - Terry Pratchett, Dave Berry and Erma Bombeck are always great. I also love romance author Allie Pleiter. I've read her My So Called Love Life - a romance between a cartoon voice actor and a network exec - at least three times.

I prefer the animated antics of Woody Woodpecker.

- There is nothing like a good laugh. A friend told me one time when my son was small to make sure he saw me laugh everyday. Welcome to the South Carolina Group.

- We have Night at the Opera by the Marx Brothers. This sort of humor is my very favorite. Dry slapstick is the very best.
