Classic Movies
What makes a movie a classic? There is not a strict definition. Some experts say a classic movie is any film shot during the Golden Age of Hollywood prior to the 1970s when the mega-studios were around.
Others define a classic movies as any film which does especially well at the box office or with critics or which win major awards. Still others define classic films by the actors who star in them. Anything with John Wayne, Audrey Hepburn, Jimmy Stewart, Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Spencer Tracey, Katherine Hepburn or Humphrey Bogart is likely to be considered a classic.
I use all three criteria to define a classic movie, so while in this lens you will find mostly movies from the 1950s and 1960s, you may also find some earlier movies and some which came out a little later. The 1970s are looking more and more "classic" these days!
