How are classic number plates made?
There are two different processes for making classic style number plates.
The first method involves a sandwiched material of the black background and an aluminum layer. Specialized tooling is used to cut away the top layer leaving the desired lettering.
The second method takes a little longer to produce. This involves a piece of solid aluminum which is then stamped, painted and finally baked to achieve the end result.
