- I just LOVE the way you explained the use of clay bar, me and my friend set out detailing our shared car last week, ended up with a hundred+ scratches on the car (just because we did not know how to use clay bar(*we used it without water). This is the second best article I found here on Squidoo, the firs one is mentioned above.
btw if I but the "Car Clean Clay Bar 160g Auto Detailing Claybar Cleaner" will you ship to MI?

- 5* Are we still washing & polishing the car, or does this replace one or both? Where I live, we have water restrictions on home car washes.

- Very informative lens! I don't get this much info about clay bar detailing even from expert forums. :)
A question though: do clay bars work the same way as polish? Do they strip the old layer of paint from your car?
Anyway, nice lens. :)

Petergrizzly ... no clay bars are what you use befor you polish your car . they remove the bonded contaminates or in aother words there little rough lumps on your car. then you finish with a wax or polish..

- Interesting. Just goes to show you can learn something new every day. I do a lot of research and am an information junkie, but never heard of this before.
