CLAY RECIPES FOR KIDS

I have always had this "thing" for clay and playdough, however this lens is going to focus on clay recipes and crafts. I can't explain the obsession...I do not know if I like the way clay is easily manipulated and can be changed or if I like the way it feels in my hands. Whatever the reason is, I just LOVE clay! I have loved it since I was little and even today I fight great joy in attempting to make a piece of artwork out of that wonderful material called clay. I know I am not alone, I am a former art teacher and I can tell you that by far one of the favorite units of study for kids of all ages was when we did clay! They looked forward to the clay projects, they were attentive and most of all, they had fun! This lens has lots of homemade clay recipes and crafts. Please enjoy!

Let your sculpture dry overnight before decorating and finishing it.

Wow, you've done your research. No wonder you teach kids!

I've tried some really bad Playdough type recipes (greasy, sticky), but yours sound good. My granddaughter will love it. Thanks!

Thank you for your recipes. I'm an artist & have tried to find a good homemade clay recipe for a while now. I think I found it on your site... My 6 yo & I just had a blast this morning with your no bake clay. Can't wait to paint our creations! :)
