Clean Coal Technology

Clean Coal Technology - Clean Coal Technology Gasification is the thermal decomposition of organic material at elevated temperatures in an oxygen restricted environment. The process, which requires an initial heat supply to get underway, produces a mixture of combustible gases (primarily methane, complex hydrocarbons, hydrogen and carbon monoxide) called 'syngas'. Syngas can be stored or combusted as it is produced, giving the process a high degree of flexibility. The syngas thus produced can be converted into liquid fuel on a catalytic reaction.

Gasification enables biomass to be burnt very efficiently and in its most technologically advanced forms gasification can provide for carbon capture (carbon sequestration). This is the best way in reducing carbon emissions which can also successfully combat climate change. But, gasification has another use, other than energy production, and that is for the gas to be used as the starting point for the industrial/chemicals and refining industries, as a raw material in the place of oil.

As oil prices rise, gasification using low grade, and thus much lower cost, raw material will become much more viable economically. During this process a carbonaceous food waste feedstock material is heated in a reducing atmosphere and this, with the high temperatures present, very successfully destroys pretty much all vectors of disease.

Biofuel Production Reduces Environmental Pollution

The production of bio fuels eliminates atleast certain percentage of environmental pollution. The primary product is so called as syngas. This is produced by a process called Thermal decomposition. Where elevated levels of temperature is used along with the absence of oxygen. Syngas is a mixture of gases that is produced as a primary product and it is present in the gaseous form. . Syngas consists primarily of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrogen, and has less than half the energy density of natural gas. It is then converted in to the liquid form in the presence of a catalyst called cobalt, this reaction is thus called as catalytic reaction. Syngas is also used as an intermediate in producing synthetic petroleum for use as a fuel or lubricant via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and previously the Mobil process.

The liquid fuel is then converted into ultra clean disel fuels by final processing and also filtering. Thus the end producted is extracted. Theis biofuel is ultra clean and can be used. Beyond the energy production there are many advantages of syngas production, they can be stated as to reduce the carbon emissions into the atmosphere and there by to reduce the amount of global warming ,green house effect etc. During this process a carbonaceous food waste feedstock material is heated in a reducing atmosphere and this, with the high temperatures present, very successfully destroys pretty much all vectors of disease.
