Who needs fancy cleaners???
This can be used for just about anything. Sprinkle on counter tops to scour clean or put on a damp cloth for a softer clean. It can be poured down the drain with vinegar to unclog drains and it can be used as a deodoriser.
CLUB SODA
This can be used as a soaking agent for tea towels or cloth napkins. The bubbles will also help to bring your stainless steel utensils & sink to shine.
SALT
This can be used similarly to baking soda - a mild scouring agent. It can also be a good deodoriser - if your hands smell of fish or garlic, just rub a little salt in your hands and the smell will come out. Any warm spills in your oven will be gone when you sprinkle salt, wait to cool & wipe clean. It can also clean copper when mixed with vinegar.
LEMON
Sprinkle a little salt on a bit of lemon to scrub your sink & make it shine. When finished, grind the lemon wedge in the garbage disposal unit to clean the blades.
FLOUR
This can be mixed with vinegar to polish brass.
CREAM OF TARTAR
Mix with boiling water to make a cleanser that will take stains out of aluminium pans. Please note that not all stains will come out this way.
KETCHUP/TOMATO SAUCE
This can replace vinegar to clean copper pots. After this, just wash as normal with the other dishes.
