How Dirty Is Your Computer?

Like every other thing you own, the computer needs regular cleaning as well. In order to operate smoothly and to serve you longer, you have to know a thing or two. Many people fail to do that simple task and in time there home PC's become terrible place, where dust mites and other filth dominate. In order to avoid that, check out this few tips and enjoy while you do that.

Before you start

cleaners Cleaning your personal computer, is one of the things that you should do from time to time, in order to run smoothly. In time most of the appliances accumulate a lot of dust, mainly. Therefore, you have to find time and get them cleaned up. In that case the computer is something that you can clean every two months, for example, you don't have to take it apart and clean it every week.

Tools and Detergents

Any other cleaning issues that you got, should be taken to professional cleaners Melbourne area has got, for example. In order to clean up your computer successfully, you will need couple of things.
-Standard screwdriver.
-Compressed air( canned air)
-Cotton cloths
-Rubbing alcohol
-Lint-free cloths or paper towels
-Water

Start By Turning The Computer Off The Grid

cleaners Melbourne Turn off the computer and start with the interior of the case. There is a lot of dust, that accumulates in there, especially in the areas around the vents. With the screwdriver remove the bolts and the side panel of the case. Some of the modern cases have only few knobs that you have to press and the panel simply pops out. Try to touch as little, as possible. Pick dust bits and bunnies with the use of a cotton swab. Avoid touching any cards and cords. Use the can of compressed air here, but as you blow, try to aim the stream in such way that blows the debris out of any crevices. Be careful not to overspinn the fans. Place the compressed air away and use short bursts. It's a good idea to immobilize the blades of the fan with your fingertip, while using compressed air. At last, use the canned air to clean up the DVD drives and any other ports. Again don't be aggressive with it. Before you put back the panels wipe down the inside of the case with dampened cloth. The outside of the case could be cleaned with rubbing alcohol. After the case is well cleaned up, you should start with the keyboard and the mouse. Take the keyboard, turn it upside down and shake it a little bit. After that use the canned air once again. With the use of dampened, in rubbing alcohol, cloth wipe off every single key of the board. Rub not only the tops of the keys but the sides, as well. A lot of dirt accumulates there, you can easily notice that if the colour of you keys is something near to white. After that, take the mouse and with the use of paper towel dipped in rubbing alcohol. Ensure that no lint or other debris will obscure the light emitting lens of the mouse.

Special Care For The Monitor

cleaning Melbourne At the every end you have to take care of the monitor of your desktop. For LCD monitors you should use slightly moistened cloth only with plain water. Microfibre cloths are perfect in this case. Paper towel could scratch the monitor. Don't spray directly against the monitor. For CRT monitors you can use regular glass cleaner. Avoid using alcohol or ammonia based cleaners, as they could ruin the anti-glare coating. You should wipe down the monitor more often, like every week, for instance.

Don't Forget The Headphones

Most of us, are using headphones throughout most of the time spent in front of the computer, due to reasons concerning our privacy or other factors, which made me think, that headphones are one part of the computer, an add-on if you like, that get dirty really quickly, how could I have missed that, anyhow, I found that nice article about how to basic-clean your headphones. Feel free to share, which are you favourite ones. Do like Beats By Dre or Bose best, in or around the ear headphones?

Fan Problems

In case you are experiencing some troubles with the fan and you have noticed that isn't working properly lately and the temperature of the CPU keeps rising(there are programs that could help you monitor that), you need to shut off the laptop immediately and seek professional help. The thing is that most of the dealers will charge you amount of money. if you feel confident enough you can open the laptop yourself and clean the fan carefully. for this part you will need selection of different screwdrivers and not more than 15 minutes.

As far as I know you should never use vacuum to clean you computer, because it can suck in a chip or an important part of your motherboard. Always use brushes and special cleaning kits, but better take it to the service center
