5 Easy Tips to Keep Your PC Clean

Avoid virus, slow performance, blue screen of death, windows hang or illegal operation message by keeping your pc and your windows registry clean. What, you're using Linux or Mac? Ups sorry, I forget to mention that these tips work only on Gates's product. Don't blame me, they say long title is not a good way to start.

Don'ts!

Do not share any folder (but read only), but still the best way is not sharing it at all.
Do not open any attachment from stranger or someone you know will never send you a hot britney spears video
Do not install-unsintall-install-uninstall many programs. Too much love will kill you, I mean too much install-uninstall will kill your registry windows. For every program you installed there are registries written and most expert knows, when it uninstalled the registry key remains. Invalid registry key can lead you to "illegal operation" or "not enough memory" (although when you check, you are still using 4MB of your 1GB RAM) error message.
Do not follow link to suspicious web site. Usually this will lead you to a site contains virus or trojan. Eh, have no idea what "trojan" is? Err... ask uncle wiki will you?
Do not mess up your pc. I mean, use the "Add/Remove Program" feature to uninstall a program. Delete it via Windows Explorer is absolutely the path to the dark side. According to it, delete or rename system file or folder will of course take you further to the dark side and not even Yoda can save you.

Do install antivirus software. Sounds boring but it's true!
Do update your antivirus software. Tell me what is the use of having antivirus but it can not recognize (and remove!) new virus?
Do scan every flash drive and diskette (if you're still using this veteran tech *sigh*) mounted onto your pc. I know it takes extra time but as well as sex, it is better safe than sorry.
Do some maintenance on your pc. Defrag your file, open the casing and remove the dust inside. It is always worth to have a clean equipment.
Do clean up your registry. There are a bunch of program to clean windows registry. Some are free, some are not. Actually, I don't believe they can make it 100% clean but at least they can show you what keys are invalid and then waiting for your instruction. You can just ignore it or fix it.
