The Easy-To-Understand Clear Word Paraphrase Bible

Do you find the Bible hard to read with all those 'thees' and 'thous' and 'thys'? Then the Clear Word Bible is just for you. The Clear Word is not an official translation or version of the Bible--it is merely a study companion and a devotional.

It's great for getting a 'second opinion' on something in another version that's hard to understand, or for a person who just wants to sit down and read in language that's more..modern. It really lives up to its name as the Clear Word Bible.

Which Bible Paraphrase Do You Prefer?

While not intended to be used as an authority or used in church services, paraphrases are excellent for getting another opinion or further interpretation of a concept or idea. This is the best way to get the most potential out of the Bible.

The Clear Word: Blasphemous?

Is the Clear Word Bible a 'book of lies' as some claim?

There has been a lot of controversy about the Clear Word Bible, with many people criticizing it as being an 'untrue' Bible and that it distorts the true meanings of the passages in order to support the teachings of the Adventist church.

The truth is, the Clear Word Bible claims to be nothing more than what it is--a paraphrase. It was not intended as a 'replacement' for any official translation, but instead as only as a tool to gain a different view or insight on the Bible.

While it does have 'Adventist influences,' as critics claim, that is because the author himself is Adventist. Just like an author of any book inserts his own interpretations and philosophy into his creation, the author of the Clear Word also added his own insights. It after all is a paraphrase. All other paraphrases have the same thing.

The key is to have an open mind and to remember what you're reading and to draw your own conclusions. Many people, myself included, find the Clear Word Bible to be an awesome study companion and devotional. It doesn't replace a 'real' Bible, of course, but it does make the studying experience easier and more enjoyable.

Translating the Bible—Into an E-Book That Works on Any Phone
But this is not a novelty Bible. Eight million people speak Hawai'i Pidgin as their 'heart language.' Even without being a fluent Pidgin speaker, it's clear that the translators have worked hard to bring the text to life within that language.
Gift of speech is no small thing
The Bible is quite clear that God speaks and that God's word is powerful. I once did a search on the phrase "Word of the Lord" and found that it appears no less than 250 times in the Bible - the vast majority of those occurrences in the Hebrew ...
Homosexuality and the Bible: Why Christians actually can be gay
However, I can't help but think that the Biblical evidence against homosexuality is more ambiguous than Poythress assumes. For example, the Greek word "arsenokoitai," which is rendered as "homosexual" in the translation of 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that ...
The Apostles
As the Bible tells it, most knew more about mending nets than winning converts when Jesus said he would make them "fishers of men." Yet 2000 years later, all over the world, the Apostles are still drawing people in. By Andrew Todhunter In the town of ...

I have just started my Theological studies. I love it, but have very little funds. Some help would be appreciated, please? I enjoy doing cross references and use many of the translations on the e-Sword program. Just a pity the Clear Word is not available there. E-Sword is a free program. Not for sale. Will need to purchase Clear Word download and have no money. Can anyone help me down Load Clear Word, Ellen G. White Writings and A.D.A Bible commentaries for my studies, please?

I like to compare different translations, as one version might explain certain verses clearer than others. The Clear Word is one of the easiest paraphrases to read and, next to the King James Version, it is the closest to the original scripture.

I am totally mistified why internet sites focus on the SDA Church, the only church that follows the Bible so closely, and totally ignors the many false churches that create their own doctrine from tradition and ideas. The Clear Word, although I don't agree with everything it says, is far better at following the true Word of God then any other I have read.

You know the thing that ALOT of ppl fail to realize..is that the "Clear Word" -this IS NOT A BIBLE!! its actually a PARAPHRASE- which means to express the same message in different words (hyperdictionary.com) ....so its just like if I pick up a pen and write my understanding of it....Seventh Day Adventist DO NOT HAVE a BIBLE of their own. the Bible that they study from is KVJ bible....ppl are making too many wild accusations.

I purchased the Clear Word Paraphrase not knowing it was written by and printed by seventh day adventists. I almost took it back the first day. After going through it and making certain changes to verses I don't agree with, I decided to keep it. Overall, it contributes to a better understanding of the scriptures. I must say however, that I don't exactly trust the sabbath day verses and cross check them with other verses for accuracy.

I use the Clear Word and I find no fault with it, for I do not understand some things and need more help and then I use the Clear Word to help me. I use the King James version and NIV,and other also to help me study God word. I learn first how to read in 1986 when God gave it to me and now I see more clearly when I use the clear word with my other bibles.
