- In the March 16, 2006 issue of Adventist Review, Executive Publisher/Editor William G. Johnsson wrote an article appearing on page 5 enttiled "So Many Versions" in which he discusses "Which is the best Bible Translation?" his response
"The most popular paraphrases are The Message, The Clear Word, and The Living Bible. They succeed in making the Bible come alive to modern men and women....
The Clear Word is an 'Adventist' paraphrase, incorporating insights from Ellen White."
Even a high ranking SDA says so

- I have just started my Theological studies. I love it, but have very little funds. Some help would be appreciated, please? I enjoy doing cross references and use many of the translations on the e-Sword program. Just a pity the Clear Word is not available there. E-Sword is a free program. Not for sale. Will need to purchase Clear Word download and have no money. Can anyone help me down Load Clear Word, Ellen G. White Writings and A.D.A Bible commentaries for my studies, please?

- I like to compare different translations, as one version might explain certain verses clearer than others. The Clear Word is one of the easiest paraphrases to read and, next to the King James Version, it is the closest to the original scripture.

- I am totally mistified why internet sites focus on the SDA Church, the only church that follows the Bible so closely, and totally ignors the many false churches that create their own doctrine from tradition and ideas. The Clear Word, although I don't agree with everything it says, is far better at following the true Word of God then any other I have read.

- You know the thing that ALOT of ppl fail to realize..is that the "Clear Word" -this IS NOT A BIBLE!! its actually a PARAPHRASE- which means to express the same message in different words (hyperdictionary.com) ....so its just like if I pick up a pen and write my understanding of it....Seventh Day Adventist DO NOT HAVE a BIBLE of their own. the Bible that they study from is KVJ bible....ppl are making too many wild accusations.

- I purchased the Clear Word Paraphrase not knowing it was written by and printed by seventh day adventists. I almost took it back the first day. After going through it and making certain changes to verses I don't agree with, I decided to keep it. Overall, it contributes to a better understanding of the scriptures. I must say however, that I don't exactly trust the sabbath day verses and cross check them with other verses for accuracy.

- I use the Clear Word and I find no fault with it, for I do not understand some things and need more help and then I use the Clear Word to help me. I use the King James version and NIV,and other also to help me study God word. I learn first how to read in 1986 when God gave it to me and now I see more clearly when I use the clear word with my other bibles.

- I read both texts and find the Clear Word very clear on what the original says. So what was your point. Not only do they mean the same thing, but the Clear Word expands it. If your parents tell you to commit murder, then you should not obey. To do so is to break another commandment. The KJV text says to obey you parents in the Lord, not outside the Lord.
