Paul Kirkpatrick DSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) - Company Manager of Clearway Driver TrainingPaul Kirkpatrick is a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor - or to give him his official title he's Paul Kirkpatrick DSA ADI (Car)!

Paul previously worked as a driving instructor for BSM, the UK's largest driving school before founding Clearway Driver Training in 2004.

Before becoming a driving instructor, Paul worked in the IT industry for many years as a software developer and website designer.

Paul says that leaving IT and becoming a driving instructor was one of the best decisions he ever made, as he really enjoys driving instruction and actually looks forward to going to work - something he never did when he worked in IT!

Paul believes that people learn to drive more effectively if they are relaxed and enjoy their driving lessons.

Paul's sense of humour is legendary. He is reknowned for his vast mental store of jokes - some good, some bad and some downright corny (you have been warned!)

Paul's ethos for Clearway Driver Training is simple;

Top quality driving tuition and complete dedication to excellent customer service.

In order to achieve this, Paul makes sure that every member of the Clearway Driver Training team fits in with our company ethos of placing the customer first at all times. Clearway Driver Training only use driving instructors who share his aims and ideals.

Peter prides himself on providing friendly, professional and reliable instruction. He believes that everyone is different when it comes to learning to drive and he tailors the way he teaches to provide structured instruction to suit the individual requirements of each customer.

Castleview School, Slough Fete 2008 - Clearway Driver Training Give Driving Lessons To Young "Drivers"!

Clearway Driver Training at Castleview School Summer Fete Saturday, July 19th 2008

Clearway Driver Training took two cars and three instructors to Castleview School, Woodstock Avenue, Slough on a bright sunny afternoon in July 2008 to offer 'driving lessons' to young visitors to the school's Summer Fete.

A driving course was laid out with cones in the school playground and a steady stream of eager young learner drivers were given a taste of driving a proper car around the course under the expert guidance of driving instructors Paul Kirkpatrick, Peter Fearon and Ted Plenty.

With drivers ranging in age from 3 to 16 years old, some of the learners were so small that seeing over the steering wheel was difficult even when raised up with several cushions but that did not stop them from being able to steer around the course with varying levels of help.

The driving lessons activity proved to be the most popular attraction at the fete and so many customers were eager to try their hand at driving that a virtual queueing system had to be implemented.

Clearway Driver Training are delighted to have been able to help raise a considerable sum of money for the Castleview School PTA.

Castleview School Fun Day 2009 - Clearway Driver Training Do Driving Lessons For Kids!

Clearway Driver Training at Castleview School Fun Day Saturday, July 18th 2009

powered by Youtube

Clearway Driver Training were more than happy to help out when Castleview School asked us back again give "kiddies driving lessons" at their Fun Day on July 18th 2009.

As we were such a huge attraction last year, we took four cars along to put the mini-learners through their paces under the watchful eye of driving instructors, Paul Kirkpatrick, Peter Fearon, Rob White and Ted Plenty.

As before, the event was great fun and Clearway Driver Training are delighted that our participation raised over £400 for Castleview School!

Clearway Driver Training In The Slough Observer Newspaper!

Clearway Driver Training help a journalist test whether his driving skills are good enough to pass the current driving test!

In April 2007, Clearway Driver Training were asked by the Slough Observer newspaper to help them with a feature about whether a driver who learnt to drive some time ago, would pass their driving test if they had to take it again several years later.

Clearway Driver Training's founder and company manager, Paul Kirkpatrick ADI took to the roads of Slough with the newspaper's sub-editor Andy Stiff, who passed his test twelve years previously, to assess whether the standard of his driving was up to the standard required for the current driving test...

It wasn't!

Clearway Driver Training In The Maidenhead Advertiser Newspaper!

Local newspaper reporter and camera crew film Clearway Driver Training driving instructor conducting a mock driving test

Maidenhead driving test18 months after we did the mock driving test feature for the Slough Observer newspaper, we were approached by another local newspaper to do the same thing again!

Paul Kirkpatrick ADI gave Maidenhead Advertiser reporter Daniel Darlington, a mock driving test. Daniel originally passed his driving test over 10 years ago and was quietly confident that his driving would be up to the standard required for a modern driving test...

...like the Slough Observer's Andy Stiff before him, poor Daniel was crestfallen to discover that over the years, he had picked up numerous bad habits!

You can read the newspaper article and watch the associated video (yes, the whole thing was filmed by a camera crew!) on the "Clearway News" page of our main website!
