CLEP® Exams

What are CLEP exams? They are a way for you or your student to get that college diploma paying less tuition and graduating in less than 4 years. You may even want to think about them as student financial aid that you can control. Interested? Please read more below.

Do you home school? Why not earn college credit for your studies? The credit is good for 7 years.

Are you in the military? You may know about these fantastic tests that earn you college credit. You may not know that they are free for servicemen and servicewomen.

Also consider another credit by examination program called the DANTES/DSST Exams. Review my lens on DANTES/DSST Exams also.

CLEP Study Guides Review

I want YOU to pass CLEP exams, so I have rated the following CLEP Prep Materials and Study Guides on a scale from 1 to 5 stars. 5 stars being the best CLEP Preparation Guides available.

InstantCert Academy - 5 Stars
My favorite study guides. This company provides access to CLEP review materials for all of the exams at once. So if you are serious about taking CLEP exams to save on tuition, this might be the perfect option for you. They charge a monthly fee of $20 until you decide that you have passed all of the CLEPs you want to take. This is a very high quality option.
Finish College Fast - 4.5 Stars
Find excellent review materials for all of the CLEP tests here. These study guides have great features such as instant downloading of the guides and an unbeatable "Pass or Don't Pay" money back guarantee. You really can not go wrong by trying to pass CLEP exams with these review materials. These people are leaders in the CLEP Test Prep industry.
REA Study Guides - 3.5 Stars
These CLEP study guides are well regarded and have been used for years. Students like the quality of the text and the sample questions provided in the books. These are definitely worth a try and I would recommend you use these in addition to the review courses above. That way you get more than one perspective on the material and you are in a better position to pass the tests.

How Can The CLEP Help You?

Don't You Need College Credit To Graduate?

CLEP is short for the College Level Examination Program. The program is managed by the College Board, an organization that is also responsible for SAT and AP exams. Just like the SAT and AP exams, these tests are related to college level studies.

The greatest advantage of taking these exams is that many schools will grant college credit to students with passing scores. Think about how powerful that is - take one test and receive college credit.

It is actually possible to receive nearly 50 credits just by passing these exams (depending on each school's own credit-by-examination policies). That translates to one year or more of time that does not need to be spent in a classroom or lecture hall.

In addition to the time saved, think about all of the money you will be saving by not paying tuition for those credits. At some schools a year's tuition and fees amounts to over $40,000.

Of course you need to pay to register for the exams ($70 each), unless you are a member of the military (it is free for them). But when you consider the time and money you save by passing these exams, anybody would be a fool not to take advantage of the opportunity.

You also want to consider using test prep materials when taking the exams. This way you defeat the whole idea of taking the CLEP in the first place... TO SAVE TIME AND MONEY!! Make sure to take a look at my favorite CLEP study guides and practice tests you can use to help you study.
