Welcome to Cleveland

I've lived in Cleveland, Ohio for my entire life and I cannot imagine living anywhere else. I hope to use this lens to share some of my favorite things about Cleveland and Northeastern Ohio.

I welcome your comments, questions, and general feedback. I love to hear from from Clevelanders, former Clevelanders, or visitors just passing through.

Cleveland Animal Protective League: The Humane Society of Cuyahoga County. The site includes animals available for adoption, pet lost and found, foster care program and volunteer information. You can also make a donation online.
Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter: Handles stray dogs in Cuyahoga County.
Euclid Animal Shelter/Pet Pals: Animal related services, and pet adoptions in Euclid, Ohio.
Ferrets Unlimited Rescue Services: Cleveland ferret rescue dedicated to finding loving homes as well as educating potential owners.
Lake County Dog Shelter: Dog shelter run by the Lake County, Ohio Dog Warden.
Lake Human Society: The Humane Society provides animal rescue, adoptions, humane investigations, and related services for animals in Lake County, Ohio.
Ohio Pet License Plate: The Ohio Pet License Plate is a specialty plate that helps to raise funds for pet spay and neuter programs.
Sanctuary for Senior Dogs: The sanctuary is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, adoption, and lifelong care of senior dogs abandoned in shelters and pounds. This is a wonderful place to find a new friend. Senior dogs are often the most friendly, and well behaved pets.

Cleveland has a nice selection of local televisions stations with great local and national news coverage. If you use an antenna for over the air HD, they offer a great selection of free TV, without cable.

WKYC: Cleveland's local NBC Affiliate, local channel 3
WEWS: Cleveland's local ABC affiliate. Also, known as NewsNet 5, local channel 5
WJW: Cleveland's Fox affiliate, also known as Fox 8. Found at local channel 8.
WOIO: Cleveland's CBS affiliate. Found at local channel 19.
WVIZ: Cleveland's local PBS station, local channel 25.
WUAB: Cleveland's MyNetworkTV affiliate, local channel 43.
WBNX: Cleveland's local CW affiliate, channel 55.

I visit this fine city yearly and it reminds me of my home (Milwaukee) yes, Cleveland Rocks!

Hey! I was poppin' in to say Hi and see that I am now repeating myself. Imagine that, it's something that happens with advancing age. As a former Clevelander, I still like finding other Clevelanders. ;)
