One of the leading candidates in having your own Clickbank ebook store is Jeff Mulligen's CBMall. Here is an example of how Clickbank commissions are calculated if a publisher offered a 55% commission for a 12 month subscription where the initial payment is $29.95, and the rebill payments are $9.95:

Initial Payment:
$29.95

55% Commission on Net Sale (see calculation above):
$14.69

Rebill Payments:
$9.95/month for 11 months

Subtract 9.9% for each payment:
-$0.99/month

Net Sale Amount:
$8.96/month

55% of the remainder:
$4.93/month for the life of the subscription

Total Earned by Affiliate for this Subscription:
$14.69 + ($4.93 x 11) = $68.92

Within two minutes of a successful purchase, your earned Clickbank commissions will be posted in your stats.

In the case for recurring billing products, the Clickbank commissions you earn on the rebill payments will be posted to your account on the same day every month, within two minutes of ClickBank charging the customer. For example, let us say a customer clicks through your hoplink and purchases a recurring billing product on Jan 15th. The rebill schedule (initial payment + subsequent rebills) is for a duration of 4 months. Assuming the customer does not cancel, you will be paid Clickbank commissions on Feb 15th, Mar 15th, Apr 15th, and May 15th.

There may be cases where a customer's rebill attempt fails for some reason (e.g. insufficient funds, expired credit card, etc.). In these cases, ClickBank does reattempt to charge the credit card for the rebill or obtain new billing information up to four times over a one week period of time. In these cases, the affiliate or Clickbank commissions are not earned until a successful rebill is made. The Clickbank commissions will be posted to the account on the day that the rebill goes through successfully.
To tell which products are generating the most sales and Clickbank commissions for your account you need to use the "Affiliate Reporting" tool found in your account. Log into your account to find "Affiliate Reporting" and go to the "Reporting" tab. Then select "Analytics" and under "Affiliate Reporting", you can then select "Publishers" for the "Show" drop-down list, and then select the range of time that you want to research. Then, click "Go". Your analytics will show how many sales and Clickbank Commissions you earned a commission for referring to each publisher, the number of refunds, etc.

4. You can change the ad layout and notice which layout works the best for you. There are many different layout options and there's no way you can know going in which one will perform the best.

5. If you're blogging, http://www.writingup.com has a list of profitable topics. They state that
you don't have to write on those topics but you might give it a try or at least plug some of them in to the search engines.

6. Using different key words and phrases and notice how much and what kinds of content and ads you see.

7. And finally, you should not be afraid to ask questions.

Here is a simple way to integrate Clickbank and Google. Research and buy some ebooks from Clickbank. Write articles based on what you read or go to some websites that offer Public Label Rights (PLR) to non-copyrighted material.
