Amish Hand Built Clocks
The Amish have a way with wood, and that also goes for their clocks! As you can see, they have carefully designed and built these with the most gorgeous styling, the best hardware, and all the practical features that make their pieces really useful.
Like their other pieces, they use American hardwoods: oak, cherry, and quarter sawn oak for their clocks. The battery operated clock mechanism is quartz movement, made by Hermle of Germany. The top of this beautiful clock is made in two pieces which measures 1.75" thick! The shelving behind the door is adjustable, the drawer will actually take files, and the thoughtful Amish include a hanging file in case you need it. The clock is easy to set up and requires no leveling. Superior mortise and tenon joints are exposed in the mission style. Black mission hardware. There is some storage behind the clock face. The McCoy Clock has a slight slant to its body with shaker style base. The joints are superior mortise and tenon joinery. True mission black hardware, a clock face door, mullioned glass door, and two 1/4" plate glass shelves inside. It has one deep drawer at the bottom. It measures 24.5 x 16.5 x 76.5. It must be shipped freight. Allow up to 8 weeks for the craftsman to build your clock and up to another 4 weeks for delivery. Available in Oak, Quarter Sawn Oak or Cherry. Inquire
