Childrens' Clocks - Do they help teach responsibility?
Children who own an alarm clock learn about time, and about the responsibility of waking up on their own.
Of course, it is ideal when mommy or daddy can awaken a child slowly and use that special time well. But in many homes, the morning routine involves a number of children getting to school on time, and both parents trying to rush out the door to work. In those busy households, any helpful tool is appreciated.
Do you wake your children yourself or do they have alarm clocks?
Parenting tip: My husband required our children to shout "enthusiasm" when they woke up. Both children, now adults, still wake up in a positive mode - or change to positive very quickly. And they both treasure all those "shout enthusiasm" reminders. Make it fun!

"We got this alarm clock radio for my 6yr old son for Christmas, his first alarm clock. He loves it. You can set it to wake up by radio, or the Hot Wheel sound which is wheels peeling out and an anouncer telling the racers to "START YOUR ENGINES", then the wheels peel out again and says something about racing for the checkerd flag. The volume dial and the radio tuner dial are wheels and the radio has a pretty good sound for an alarm clock. Great buy!"

- My children just aquired their own alarm clock last year, and it's made a heck of a difference in them getting up... depends on the kid as well and how they react to that kind of stuff. Great lens :)

- I wish I'd had an alarm clock growing up. When I started using an alarm clock it wouldn't wake me up. I slept through the noise.

- mine had clock radios and woke up to music, as did I....we love music so that was their choice..cute lens and blessed.
